Trying a marketing idea using Ebay for my online store

I placed a book for a 7 day auction on Ebay at the top of the description area I placed Auction by followed by a nonlinked banner for my store. within the description I reminded the buyer to checkout my About me where I have place a linkable banner. I might get a slap on the hand for this but I thought I might try this and see what happens.

Bob I tried something like that in my listings as well.  Is it possible for you to make your check out my about me page a clickable link?  I can't remember if that is one of the prelisting links we can add.  If I figure it out before you I'll let you know.

Hey Bob!

You should be good to go on that.  Everything you did is completely eBay legal.   

Like Marci suggested, I would make the banner and/or the text to your About Me page.
