Stupidity is its own punishment.

If the recent posts on numerous anti-eBay forums are any indication of things to come, then eBay's yearly ritual of 'thinning the herd' will be quite successful.

After reading some of these inane posts, all I can say is eBay does know what they are doing!  I've seen everything from people writing to GM and Michael Moore to people posting screenshots of where they are leaving boycott messages in their feedback.

I fully expect to next see someone posting a picture of their backside sporting a new Tattoo that says "Boycott GreedBay".   hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical

Some of these poor sellers have completely lost it!  I honestly feel sorry for the Alternative sites that end up with them...well with the exception of two or three and they deserve it.

I have taken a break today and worn my eye out reading a book.  I return to PSU and  ...

Tried to welcome folks and kept getting 'booted' - so - it will be interesting to 'see' what happens this week!  I have to say that it appears there are 'more panicked folks than usual' - at least it appears that way...

You all agree?    sniff

One thing I find particularly appalling is PSUnite encouraging this behavior and joining in:

Lets watch eBay's auction site count Fall

Those two little posts right there will give false hope to the naive Sellers.  3% is absolutely nothing to eBay.  It's the equivalent of one drop of water in a 55 gallon barrel (if that much).

A forum like PSU should be a place that HELPS sellers, not encourages them to slit their own throats in a knee-jerk reaction.  To me that says traffic level is more important than quality of information.  :nono:

Then again, I remember when Bob first started PSU.  At that time it was intended to be an exclusive club for Powersellers boycotting/bashing eBay back in 2005 (hence the name).  It didn't work out quite that way though (few Powersellers boycotted or joined) and he ended up opening the doors to everyone just so he could keep the forum going.  This would have been a smart move on his part if he had ditched the eBay bashing theme the forum was built on at the same time.  Guess it just goes to show, you always go back to your roots.
