Just wanted to start a new thread about Hibidder where everyone can discuss the site stats and information. If you have information pertaining to the Hibidder site please post it here.

I will start with the live stats at the time of this posting.

Live auctions - 27063
Valued Members - 3840
stores - 161
stores with active items - 117
stores without active items - 44
Sell thru rate - can NOT be determined

Interesting fact - the top 3 stores account for 14,414 listings which make up more than 50% of the total of all the listing's on the site. Also please note that the #1 store is a repeat offender when you apply the site rule of 10 of the same item (every item shows 11 or 12 copies of the same item).

Hmmmm....that listing count appears to be off a bit from what was there yesterday.  Yesterday they were down by 200+ listings, but looks like they've managed to recoop those as of tonight.  Looks like the #1 store decided to do some relisting.

Hey all:

On the stats, they used to show how many items had been sold and what the $$ value was.  I guess it's no longer available?  I had not honestly looked at their stats for a long while - I too appreciate the sharing.

There is a song, if you're old like me - 'Every picture tells a story - don't it?'

- October Data

- November Data

I went and took a looksie at the 'change from yesterday to now, and it brings up a scenario back earlier in the year when some users listings were 'large enough' to be noticeable.

Here's a link to the PSU thread:  http://www.powersellersun....com/viewtopic.php?t=9547 - if you don't want to 'read' it all - I'll summarize...

1.  A user asked about Dutch listings, as they noticed numerous listings for the exact same thing.
2.  An answer was given that includes the policy allows 10 of like/same item.
3.  Another user comes along and suggests they would not buy from a seller that has more than 10 of the same (which there was one/two).
4.  That user gets accused of being someone incognito.
~~~~~~~~~~~Insert Erin~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Across all of my points, I'm in that thread trying to be a politically correct peace-maker  sniff
5.  That users IP address gets banned from HiBidder on the same day that the user is posting at PSU - asking 'questions' about Hibidder ....
6.  Along comes another HiBidder.com seller defending herself as she believes she's the 'incognito' person.
7.  Fancy the fact that she too is banned from HiBidder without reason, cause, a note or an explanation (I know - you are very surprised right now - and you are just wondering ... how oh how can that be?    )
8.  Erin makes a phone call and confirms what she did not want to believe in the thread.
9.  Erin walks far away from the thread and the site.
10. I really don't have a 10, but a list ending in 9 - just didn't feel right.
So - moral of the story....when the listing count increases at hibidder.com, and the ratio of active vs. non-active stores is contrary to the data - it's possibly sellers that drop ship product adding their 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th,.... repeat item to boost the listings!!
Here is a nice piece of info that was handed to me. I won't name the Hibidder store or owner other to say it's store #1 based on listings. So store #1 is all dropship items. Here is the link to the supplier's site.
http://dropshiponauction.com/
Now I have dealt with that dropship source in the past and I will say this, if you deal with them you must inventory your items everyday when they are placed at auction sites. That is also a wholesale suppliers site so the inventory is volatile to say the least. Need an example of what I am talking about? Take a look at that store on HB again and compare some of the inventory there with the suppliers inventory if they even still sell the items.
So what is the purpose of store #1 on HB? Is it just a listing count booster? Does this store owner even pay attention to their business? What would happen if someone bought one of those out of stock items? Would the buyer be labled a trouble maker for the failures of the store owner?
I do not drop ship, and it would scare me to no end to have a customer order and not be able to fulfill it.  I have heard some who are very successful with dropshipping, but have heard some real horror stories as well.
I could have sworn I posted some stats here....I have no clue now - and perhaps they're in another thread.  However, based on some 'passed information',
When you look at the snapspot of stats above, that Joe provided, here's a corrected version of detail:
Hibidder moderators or admins. account for 16,926 items.
Hibidder moderators or admins. account for 17 of the active stores.
Now...I need to go find my original post so I can correct myself.  It was made during my first cup of coffee, and without updated status of who is and who is not volunteering/admining at Hibidder.com
Well....I suppose it's time to raise this up for discussion, updates, etc.  Long story short, I've still not been given answers on PSU regarding a variety of critical issues that affected my business and relationship recently with Hibidder.com.
The customer service at HiBidder.com has now been raised by more than the original poster, bays and myself, and yet the site volunteers, who are acting as employees have not responded or answered a single question in the thread.  Here's a link for those to see:
http://www.powersellersun...topic.php?p=132841#132841 - it's 10 pages long, so I don't expect anyone to read all the 'hibidder created drama' in it, but the last page is very nice - an administrator responds to my repeated requests for answers to 'real' questions with a can of 'troll spray'?
I may be wrong, mrflibbles, a moderator, volunteer, and employee of Hibidder may have been spraying one Molly Malone, who thinks I am someone called Sheila - who is Sheila?  I feel sorry for her....esp. if the Hibidder.com/Pheebay group begin to think she is me!!!
Back to facts:
No need to 'speak' - the trend is clear.
Hibidder.com moderators or admins. now account for approximately 17,900 of the listings.  They still account for either 16 or 17 of the stores, and the majority of these are drop ship items listed redundantly.  The numbers game is alive and well at hibidder.com.
I must return to real-life now - and to think.....when I saw that mrflibbles had posted at PSU - I thought I was going to have answers!   But instead, a can of troll spray?  There are some obvious 'deep issues' beyond Rich at hibidder.com - what seller in their right mind would post like that in a thread with more than 10k views - at a forum with more than 7k members?   hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical
This is like the joke of the day - the answer....one that no longer wishes to make sales!!!
Erin,
Sheila is Aussie slang for a girl. So Molly was in effect saying -- Hey Girlie, shut up. I haven't seen the thread since I posted right after Molly, but Molly seems to be another PB antagonist. And like her counterpart, Jim, doesn't know what she's posting about.
Erin I didn't know you had a nickname. Apparently you didn't either
Reminded me of the movie Airplane
Surely you can't be serious.
I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.
Now....that is way too funny....I had no idea that a name was used as a 'slang' for a gal!  Well - he!! - if I'd known she was really yakking at me, my response may have been different.  I just ignored her as I thought she was thinking I was someone else.... hysterical hysterical hysterical
Quite honestly, I probably wouldn't have.  She's not even a member of any site, and is in her 20(s) - with how she writes, I just can't see she's got a lot to offer beyond trolling.  I'm still in shock that a hibidder employee, volunteer or whatever they are would post a can of troll-spray.  I find it almost as funny as Rich's post that was sent to me by countless people about how I'm bitter because I wanted to come back and 'he' wouldn't let me!
Erin,
you are so "politically correct"... I was the one that got banned because of a co-worker (that has been rehired and we are still at each others throat ) that came in on a work computer, like I did many times.  This co-worker asked about the listings. Not that I don't think her question was not valid, it was in my opinion. The mass banning was the pathetic thing though.  As you know, as I pm'd you during the recent psu controversy you were/are having, that until recently, I still could not access HB. When they made changes (?? not really sure) all of a sudden I was able to acess not only the site, but my store! Oh my! After what they accused me of, and not being able to access, I "assumed" (shame shame on me! ) that they also closed my store.  hysterical So... da ti da... I use the "contact me" feature and ask if I am allowed to once again list items there... (lol,,,,, are you following me here? ) Of course, I didn't get any response to my first inquiry. So, about a week or so later, I use the contact me feature again... Lo and behold.... "Rich" (or someone pretending to be Rich) contacts me, telling me that he never had any issues with me. BUT conveniently avoids the question about removing the "suspended" from me, so I could. I responded to that exact email,once again asking about the removal of the suspended.. and guess what? (hey, anyone think I got an answer???) NOT! So, since they refuse to close out Erins info, I decided not to even waste my time requesting what I know they will not do.  BTW, it was also I that firmly believes then and even now that there is a partiality of psu to hb. AND that there is a PSU or two mod that passes along IP addys as well as other information to HB. I cannot prove it, but its one of those things you just know.... Like they say, actions speak volumns!
And another thing that I noticed... can anyone tell me the humor in this?
Not only am I listed as a "PREFERRED" seller, getting a whole 10% off my fees, but I'm a "SUSPENDED" preferred seller!   hysterical  hysterical      an oxymoron? hmmmm...
and oh.... just how does one LOG OUT of your admin store area once you've logged in?  I searched and searched and searched, but could not find a logout link.  AND I was wearing my glasses!    Does anyone see a link here? If you do, could you point it out to me???   hysterical hysterical
I've never listed at HB, but on most of the PHPProBid sites the log out link is in the footer at the bottom of the page.
