Julz:

I did a quick search on google using Juliartz Hibidder, and did find 'this' - I'm sending a cache view as I try real hard to not visit Hibidder unless I have a reason:

http://72.14.205.104/sear...t=clnk&cd=8&gl=us

I hope that link works for you - it appears a HiBidder Mod is reselling your items.

 hysterical hysterical

Thank you Erin
I hadn't thought to put in the search with my store + Hibidder... And that particular item was one of those "GIF" promotions. It was a 1/2 set (normally set of 8). And dear dear Donnett was one that vied for my stuff. Wonder how much she resold?    But no matter, she is giving me free advertising. Since my website is on all of those. Can't ask for more...

How cool is that!?!?!?!Free advertising is great!!

I've been meaning to ask you...do you take the pics for your art or can anyone give you images? ( I got a couple of camera bugs that will actually pose when they see a camera. Would make some really cute cards, etc.)

All the photography shown in my store are mine/taken by me. In the sister store that I have (www.stargazerz.com) is where I utilize my photography for various crafts. But... I will customize items as well, i.e. mousepads, calendars, wall clocks.
Let me know what you are looking for.

BTW - I've only had 7 calls today from 'blocked incoming' on my home - life is improving for me!!!

Hi Erin,
Question for you here.
Why don't you answer one of these calls and find out who is calling ?

You've mentioned these calls a couple times and my curiosity is getting the better of me.  How do you stand it?  Don't you want to know who is calling you?

Maybe it is someone from the HiBidder site offering an explanation that you are seeking.  I doubt it, but maybe that's what these calls are about.  Can you do that *69 (or whatever it is) to find out the last number that called?  Then google it and see what you come up with.

I was thinking about this while I cooked dinner tonight.  It's bugging me so figured I drop you a note.

Erin,
Not only that, but if by chance you can get a hold of that number, if you go to www.whitepages.com they have a reverse look up for telephone numbers and addresses. Something like the old fashioned directory called the "Haynes Criss Cross Directory". Good Luck, and maybe you should answer one.... could be a secret admirer!

* 69 will not work when the caller blocks their number. They pay a fee to do so.  Also, I have answered, and nobody says nothing...  :ermm: :ermm: :xmaseek:

It is annoying at best, and been going on for a while.  You can't do a reverse lookup with out the #.  Also, to track these types of calls thru the legal channels, you need a court order.  Of course, that's an option, but it's just as easy to ignore the call and let them waste their time getting our machine.

I long since quit caring who it was, and that they do it - cuz....it's their time they're wasting - not mine.  And, it very well may have nothing to do with HB; I tied the 2 together for 'when' they started, but without facts/details, only my 'perceptions' right now.

Do agree Julz - free advertising is a great thing!!!  :wreath: :wreath: :greenhoho:

A preliminary PEACE site:

pkcdirect.com/forum

Check the members out. It seems Rich has time to BS on forums with his staff but no time to do any PR work where it is needed. I notice both PSU Mods are members at this place. Can you say corrupt ring?

Some more action over at this forum:

auctionsellersmotivators.com/forum

I see at least one HB Admin/Mod is also a Mod at this forum.

Well, Erin,
If *69 won't work
and if they won't talk to you when you answer
Then I guess that is their loss.

It very well could be some screw up in a computer system that
keeps dialing your number for whatever reason.

This happened to us several years ago.  Phone rang at 1:15AM every morning. Just started happening out of the blue.  Of course you jump out of bed with your heart thumping 100 miles an hour!  Who? What? kids? Parents? Police?

When we answered we heard a 'fax' tone.  That was all.  Just a fax tone every every every every time it happened...for like months!  Then one night I heard someone talking.  I screamed into the phone to get their attention; you could tell the phone was like laying on a desk or something and not right up to the talkers face.  They responded :-)

It was a major food distributor trying to figure out why the faxes were NOT working right for several months.  They would come to work and the orders were not there.  Why, oh why?  Because someone had programed OUR telephone number instead of the right number.

We reported it to the food distributor.  They were so thankful.  One day a truck pulled into the driveway and delivered cases of stuff to us as a thank you gift.  I didn't buy toilet paper for almost 1 year.  We had nuts and coffee and canned goods coming out of our ears.

More importantly...we started sleeping through the night again.  Oh, sweet sleep and peace.

Who knows?  Maybe this thing happening to you is something weird like the thing we went through.  Drove me nuts!  Talk about crabby.  Couldn't figure out what was happening and having sleep interrupted.

It was good to get back to normal crabby once we figured it all out.

Deb - you're absolutely right!  If it were only 'a known' number, I could probably easily stop it....and it may be a glitch somewhere!!!  Who knows - when I sleep - which is rare and not for long, I don't really wake up too easily so the nighttime calls are far less annoying than daytime - TBH!!!

You can have something put on that says "This number does not accept anonymous calls, please retry your number without the block."

And the person has to then *82.

My home phone sometimes shows as blocked id. We don't have blocked id on our phone.

I am/was also a member of pkcdirect haven't been there in months. ... and was a mod on the B-A forum there... but asked Paul to remove me when I was no longer associated with B-A. Probably the last post I made there was the last time I was there.

Erin, a few years back when I was being harrassed via telephone, I worked with my phone company to determine the originating phone number. It's illegal to use telephone communications to threaten, harass or disrupt people. Communications companies have legal departments dedicated to addressing customer issues.

Your carrier can determine and contact the person committing the crime. The offender will be apprised of the letter of the law and informed that they are subject to prosecution because they are using third party (carrier) equipment in the commission of a crime. Let your service provider deal with it. They have the means and it's part of the service that you pay for. If the caller persists, they will be summoned to court to explain their actions, and, quite possibly, arrested. Either way, they end up in court to explain their actions and usually end up paying hefty fines. Phone companies have all the evidence needed to prove a case. They only need to know that you're having a problem.

It doesn't matter who is calling you, or if they're connected to the OAI. You have the means to stop them. Permanently.

I have (you had to expect this!) an opinion about anyone telling you, Erin, what is beneath you. It's an attempt to control. People care what others think of them and it influences our interactions. When a persons opinion of you matters, that person owns a piece of you. Personally, I'm pretty selfish with my pieces.

Joe, I've seen a lot of the same faces at both the pkcdirect.com and auctionsellersmotivators.com, too. BTW, did you know that the AuctionPeace.com forum is/was accessible to the general public? I seem to remember reading that there was great interest in their little program...can't tell it from the activity.

The fact that HiBidder/Rich chooses to glad hand with various forums instead of clearing the decks of issues should not sit will with sellers, either current or perspective members. If the HiBidder admins/mods who accept and condone ignoring customers issues were asked to comment on a seller who exhibited the same behavior, they would very quickly state that this is a completely unacceptable way to treat customers. Yet, they allow this vendor to hide behind their skirts. It's insulting. It's slap in the face of every member of the OAI. I need a barf bag.

PEACE opened a PORTION of the forum up to the general viewing public about 2 weeks ago. No need to join it's only the same clique of people you would normally associate with gated threads and sites. If you look at the total posts made on the site itself you will see that over 90% of the threads are hidden from the general viewing public and I would assume the members as well unless you are a auction site staff/owner.

On a side note - the hidden threads game is a page taken directly out of the peebay play book. Most people assume that the dustbin is the only hidden thread there. Wrong again, over 40% of the posts made (8,000+) at peebay are in hidden threads. They are not visible to the general viewing public or to most members either. I would assume this same clique group has access to them as, at least in my experience with forums, admin or mods boards don't typically account for nearly half of the total posts in most forums. Peebay and PEACE are the exception to the rule.

If you want to verify my FACTS (look here Rich, Graham, LBA etc..) you can use simple addition and subtraction by - look for the total number of posts listed typically at the bottom of the forum home page - add up the total number of posts in each thread (listed next to each forum board) - subtract that number from the total number listed and you have the FACTS.

I know most of the members here realize this already and understand simple math. However, I know ALL HB staff members lurk here constantly, ALL Peebay staff has lurked here, Some parties involved are members here and are embarrassed to post because FACTS don't lie!!!!

Joe - The Bar Keep

Edited to add - The Crabby Host Forum doesn't hide one single board, one single post nor do we invade your privacy in the PM system (as suspected at other forums). Everything in this forum is viewable to the general viewing public and more importantly the bots and spiders. We believe in and value your opinion and because of that everyone has the chance to own there words. Hiding behind gated threads in other forums is what causes instances like what we see at PSU, Peebay and PEACE. What you see happening at PSU with regard to Hibidder is a planned attack on the character of people like Erin, Bays, Julz etc.. The posters, such as Mrflibbles, PSU Mods and there cliquey friends are all responsible for posts made, not just the poster themselves. It is a TEAM EFFORT, nothing more nothing less.

Well....it's been busy here while I've been cleaning.  I am so tired, I can't even see straight - and it's only 7:15pm my time!!!

The whole thing still just takes me back to junior high.  There are those who 'want' more, therefore they 'act as if' to gather groupies, then they plan attacks on unsuspecting 'healthy' people - because misery loves company.

You all know the drill.  If you go back and read JYJ's various posts, there is an attack in each line, with an attempt to 'soften it' - that doesn't work.  It doesn't work, as he's usually never 'read' the original post, reacts to the chatter around him from the 'group' instead of the facts in front of him and then doesn't understand, or pretends to think we're attacking when we try to redirect his misunderstanding.

Geez....I'm 45 years old, left home at 17, ran with the wild folks and had a ton of life experience before I even hit 21.  You can rest assured nobody will ever tell me how to 'be' or how to act.  I was raised to know right from wrong, good from bad, evil from other - and I do my best each day to get outa bed, go help someone and move my body/mind forward.

That's all life is - get up, help others, learn something, say thanks and start again!  The simpler I keep it, the better it is.  My parents will be here tonight late - I can put them on here, and there's no doubt they would tell you that nobody has ever successful 'chilled' my words/actions and nobody ever will!!!  :nono: :nono: :nono:

Back to a real question - did the rules change at PSU where we can't post in some threads?  That threw me sideways when posted.  I remember folks yakking about it, but I didn't sign nothin - did you all?

The phogghead group has tried on various occasions to "take over" who could post what, where, and when at PSU.. without success thus far.
