springsale - I'm so sorry that happened to you! I have never detailed out the 'promised' items that went 'missing' - none of which were won. I will say tho that for one contest when I was there, I did a ton of nudging to get prizes out and they were 'finally' released to winners.
You and I 'spoke' a small amount and I've never shared 'all' that happened, and never will. I try hard to practice the 'ya gotta make your own choices - so why muddy the pond' - therefore, unless I see someone in extreme 'danger' --- I'll not disclose more than necessary.
I bet it was coming UPS, and I'll bet Steph was sending it? And...I'll bet that this, that and the other 'delayed' her. And - now I bet it's lost with UPS - am I close?
Getting banned from 'there' is not a huge deal. Getting banned from anywhere is not a huge deal. The best thing about spreading your wings is I now almost always have a plan B, C, and D!!
I am sorry for ya tho - it's a smack to the face when it happens - eh?
I too saw mrflibbles 'there'. I assume she was 'there' to send PMs to new persons inviting them to HiBidder. That's one of the 'marketing/promoting' tactics of the past that I'm certain is alive and well today - eh?
Welcome to the 'place of the banned' springsale - you now truly fit!!!

I hate to say it so I won't. Feel free to vent all you want but while you are venting consider starting your own independent website!!!

What buyer in there right mind would go to hibidder? What kind of an idiot would pick a name that says expensive to buy? Think about this people, break down the name:
hibidder
hmmmm, sounds like high bidder right? Yep that is exactly what a buyer is looking for in an auction site, a place where they can go and BID HIGH for stuff they can bid low at on eBay.
Please note - this is in no way intended to belittle the site "yourhighbid" although I am told the same idiot picked the name for that site, I can't believe there was a sucker to buy that name and expect buyers to come.

That should work

Joe: I was there when the YourHighBid was born and yes - the same person named them both. You point at a very 'real' issue that Hibidder has from a business perspective. Rich's online experience was 'buyer' view, no online selling or very little.
Not to say that buyers would ever use high + bid to 'search' for a site or an item, but the point is the site, the site 'look' and the site functionality is not designed by a seller with experience but by a hobby buyer from ebaY.
Selling 'used cars' is very different than selling online. The potential buyer gets to see, touch, smell, etc. the car - whereas online - the seller needs to help the buyer 'feel' the item.
There is now a new number 1 store over there! I so feel for any seller trying to get exposure for there 'good stuff' when there are so many duplicates of drop ship items. Talk about overkill - I also have heard from sellers who sell same products that many of the vast dropship listings on hibidder are actually no longer available from the dropshippers...
The listings and the site are sitting on auto-pilot...
ThePetGuy - you are cracking me up!!!

Talk about dysfunctional.....well - this is dysfunction defined!!
Springsale, former moderator and valued Hibidder.com member posts here and at PSU that she too has not received a prize promised as a reward for a contest.
Several people who have experienced the Hibidder.com dismissal and smear tactics offer support.
A site owner, who just is kind and concerned, offers support.
Hibidder.com, in true fashion responds to 'this' and much more at peebay!
Since most OLA folks won't go to peebay, TulipTools grabs it for our Sunday humor.
But....and ya knew it was coming - since PSU is having issues today, responses to the 'truth' posted at peebay are 'here'.....
If you followed all this, you've passed junior high school 101!!!
Let's look at this from an 'intelligent' point of view:
Debra - mrflibbles truth:
(1) Yes, Springsale won a Nascar jacket. Rich ordered it, and it is still on back order. He called and talked to her, mentioning several pages of items he ordered. She said she would be patient. Then within a very short period of time, Springsale makes her public statement.
(2) During the phone call, Rich NEVER asked Springsale to take her items off the site. Back in Nov, she mentioned to another member that she was looking for a new 'home'. Her listings dropped ever since.
(3)Well respected, well liked and the largest customer of mrflibbles on Hibidder - Springsale - is accused of making up what she shared at PSU and thecrabbyhost. Even the most naive of souls would not / could not believe this seller would make this up. What motive? What purpose? Whatever!!
Debra - mrflibbles truth:
As usual, the usual trolls start popping up. Knappschiles, Baysbeauty, 2BoysandToys, RiverRat, Vinewood. Each of them making assumptions of what did or did not happen and coming to their own conclusions.
I know I am numpty, but please share when troll was redefined? With the exception of Knapp's (unless I'm wrong), the balance of these folks, myself included have been a part of the 'dismissed' from Hibidder.com crowd. We are mentioned as we didn't just walk away silently like a few others who've contacted me recently about drinking the Hibidder Kool-Aid.
(6) Bays mentions a Nascar quilt that she was suppose to receive. From who? Rich? If it was from Rich, this is a complete LIE. Totally made up.
Uhhhhhmmmmmm - might this be the time to list the various items that Rich promised me in exchange for my service there? Or....better yet - to suggest I believe bays and have emails suggesting a home-made blanket would arrive, a bass guitar would arrive....
Debra - mrflibbles truth:
(9) Erin. Well, what can I say except she broke her own promise of not posting at PSU any more. Surprise! She posts a screenshot of her being banned at HB forums. Sorry, but that's an old shot. She's not banned from the site or forums. She's been visiting both places quite frequently and so has Baysbeauty. If you're banned, you can't access the site or forum ..... hmmmm.
It's all about me - yeah!!!! I do not remember EVER PROMISING to not post at PSU. I did stay away for a bit, and those reasons have been 'managed'. Unlike the Hibidder staff, when I have an issue with a member of a site, I work through it. But, again - suggested I promised to stay away for my lifetime - no.... Said it before, and I'll say it again - I never close doors - not my style.
Also, for the record, this admin is completely clueless about the site and forum she's supporting. The forum and the site are two entirely different systems. I can and have been at the site. With exception to the long-standing, but not real site speed and page load issues, I can move around and see which sellers remain, and which have left - willingly or dismissed.
I have been banned at the IP level from the forums. I suppose that Debra will suggest I 'made these up' too:
-
early this morning!!!
-
very recent time stamp!!!
Rich used to be a lot faster in covering his tracks. He's slacking off!!!
Debra - mrflibbles truth:
(13) Yes, Springsale is (was) an awesome seller and buyer. She will be missed.
It is very nice of mrflibbles to state this. Especially since Springsale was her largest buyer!!!
I opted to skip or ignore several 'truths' of Debras. They either are too stupid to discuss or non-worthy - they speak volumes alone.
Here's some other screen shots gathered on February 6th after I got a heads up about some flurry over yonder at Hibidder.com.
If you decide that Hibidder.com is not meeting your needs as a seller, you are 'dismissed'. Poof - gone - however, your stats remain to support the wonderful sell-thru rate of:

TOO SMALL TO COMPUTE!!!!

In summary, it's a darn shame that the Hibidder site is now what it is. It had promise in the beginning, and many sellers behind it. As the drama unfolded, so has the site. There were upwards of 9 moderators once; all but 3-4 remain. Of that 3-4, 2 are new recruits, who hopefully will not go thru what the balance of us endured. And, whatever you do - do not speak the truth.
If you speak the truth, you will be threatened by Rich - legal action.
Your store will be closed (no big deal; no buyers anyway).
You will become a topic in peebay's trashbin.
You will be slandered all about the web by the one of nine remaining admin/moderators who's still drinking the kool-aid.
And whatever you do, do not share that you are having speed issues with the site. It is after all only you - everyone else has 'awesome page load speed' - as shown by this chart:
The drama of Hibidder continues, and the truth, according to Debra is shared, exactly where it belongs - the trashbin of peebay!!!
PS - has anybody noticed they tend to 'speak the truth' but never share any facts/data? Just wondered....

Frankly I don't know if I've been banned at HB or not. The last time I looked was sometime last fall and I could still get in everywhere. Not that I really wanted to. I had lost more than 1/2 of my listing when HB had it's database meltdown more than a year ago.
I had kept relisting the 50 or so listings of mine that remained until they too just disappeared. I'm not really sure if that was the sites fault or if I had forgotten to relist once until more than the 30 days and they were deleted. I really don't know. So it's been at least since last summer that I haven't had anything listed there anyway.
Oh and as far as STR -- I used about $600 of my credits at the site for several banners on various spots on the site. Anyone want to guess how much it got me in sales ??!! Absolutely nothing, $0. If my ID is still alive there, I still have over $1000 in useless credits.

That is a real crock too. I'm pretty sure that both here and in the PSU thread Springsale laid out the timeline. She won the jacket on 12/5 (I think) and didn't post about it til after Feb 10. Not exactly what I would call a "short period of time".
Considering the fact that Rich owns a chain of Nascar stores, he should have good quick access to any and all of that stuff.

Knowing from insiders that I was going to be forced out, I donated thousands and thousands of site credits to members that were referred by me! I could only donate to those who signed up under me, but I did so in huge #s. Figured it was better than having them wasted --- which they were any way - eh?

Since I've already been flamed once today, I figured I may as well stir up the trashbin a bit more....Why not - eh?
OK - The Easy Things First:
I'm still banned, even though they say I'm not. Which - I don't care, as I don't want to post, but the left hand and the right hand over there are not talking.
On a brighter note, according to Alexa, the site speed is improving!!
Last post, it was a bit slower. However, it appears there slipping a bit in traffic.
Last time we looked:
1/29/08
Hibidder.com moderators or admins. now account for approximately 17,900 of the listings. They still account for either 16 or 17 of the stores, and the majority of these are drop ship items listed redundantly. The numbers game is alive and well at hibidder.com.
4,054 Members......as of 2/25 4,273 - increase of 219
34,209 Auctions.....as of 2/25 37,955 - increase of 3,746
14 Members online (this never drops below 10 - real or fudged....you decide)
180 Stores.....as of 2/25 214 - increase of 34
98 Stores with Items.....as of 2/25 - 111 - increase of 13
82 Stores with 0 Items.....as of 2/25 - 103 - increase of 21
Of the 98 Stores:
36 have 10 or less items.....as of 2/25 45 have 10 or less
40 have above 10 - 100.....as of 2/25 45 have 10 - 100
11 have above 100 - 250.....as of 2/25 9 have 100-250
11 have 250 or above.....as of 2/25 - 12 have 250 or above
Moderators manage 7 identified active stores (may be more).
These stores account for ~~21,700 of the listings or 64% of the total.
And Today:
4,273 Members
37,955 Auctions
20 Members online (this never drops below 10 - real or fudged....you decide)
214 Stores Shown
111 Stores with Items - down from November
103 Stores with 0 Items
Of the 111 Stores:
45 have 10 or less
45 have 10 - 100
9 have 100-250
12 have 250 or above
Moderators manage 9 identified active stores (may be more).
These stores account for ~~22,227 of the listings or 59% of the total.
Sell-thru as of today = 855,445 Total Listed / 6,261 = still too small to compute.
What ya think?

Let me get this straight. 855,445 is the total number of items listed since day one of the site? 6,261 is the total number of sales since day one of the site? When was the site originated? If we can determine all those factors we can get ya a monthly or weekly STR without a problem (may need a special calculator though)

I'm pretty sure I signed up on HB in Dec of 05. I know it was Dec, just not totally sure of the year. But as the Bay's fiasco has been going on for over a year, it about had to be Dec 05.

Based on Carol's guesstimate here they are.
26 months = .028 month STR
112 weeks = .0065 weekly STR

Hey...what happened to all those people that were HB 'cheerleaders'? Don't hear squat from them anymore. Did HB disappear or implode?
