It seems that the membership enrollment has stabilized at PEACE the past few days. Time to update the list of participating sites:

YourHighBid (hosts several sites for Richie HB owner as well as designed the unity/peace sites)
UBidRight
My Safe Bid
Angelic Arena
Buddys Auctions
GB Auctions (owns the site below as well)
Auctions World Wide (owns the site above as well)
WeBidz
HiBidder (still has bays walmart cards and hides behind PSU mods, HB mods and admins, buddy boys with Graham PB owner, lurks in the dustbin, used car salesmen, most likely built and sold 50%+ of the sites joining peace, boinktard extraordinaire)
Epropauctions  (also barebids.com ***warning graphic nudity for 18+ Premiere adult auction site***)
fastbid.eu
lggauctions (note a whois search reveals 200+ domains registered to the owner of this site)
that1bid (owns the site below as well, like abcs opted to put an invalid phone number in when registered)
bidorsell (owns the site above as well, like abcs opted to put an invalid phone number in when registered)
RedLineAutoTrader  hysterical hysterical
SellAToy
Elfingo
TheTeddyPatch
QuicklySell

Has anyone even heard of half those sites before? Question for Amy. I hear that each participating site has voting rights, does auction peace count it as one vote per site or can a person acquire more then one vote if they own more then one site? I also see that some sites are cross promoting others with a rotating banner on there homepage. Is that cross promotion mandatory or can you choose to opt out of that? I ask because as i said some sites are. Just wondering why the largest PEACE site hasn't participated in the cross promotion yet or has that been waived as a special favor to Rich over the abcswebdesign thing?

Joe - The Bar Keep

P.S. Amy what is your take on Vladuz posting at PB? Does PEACE support the idea of a publicity stunt that has harmed sellers?

I see the PEACE site opened up a PORTION of the forum to the general public. Keyword PORTION  hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical here are the numbers:

146 topics 7 of which are viewable to the general public.

516 posts 15 of which are viewable to the general public.

I find it interesting that the above rules ARE NOT included on the forum registration page where The PEACE Forum Policy and Rules are shown and you have to click the "I Agree" button, but yet it states "As a registered member you agree to all rules stated below"

How can they "enforce" rules you didn't agree to when you registered?
Simple answer - They can't.

Well they can since they are in control of the delete button, but it wouldn't be a very NICE or ethical thing to do now would it.

Edited to add:   Note these Rules are specifically stated as PEACE Policy and Rules for Auction Sellers

Does that mean the Auction Site owners/staff don't have to adhere to the same policies?

What kind of a forum tells you what you can and can't say at other forum's? If you ask me the PEACE site is a site where people join to have their 5th amendment rights violated. What a joke this is, who in there right mind would join a forum to abide by those rules?

I am absolutely stunned that people think that they can control what people think and what people say in the real world let alone the online world. If this is what the alternative to eBay sites are coming to (please note I am referring to sites associated with the PEACE site) alternative auction sites have completely destroyed what online sellers are looking for to begin with.

I truly hope the non-peace sites can come forward and show the OAI that this attempt at a MONOPOLY by PEACE is not what the majority of sellers need nor want. I know for one thing what we have just witnessed happen in the PEACE site, is something that this country has fought against for well over 200 years. I find the rules laid out in the PEACE site to be unethical & an attempt to violate the rights of freedom of speech to say the least.

First 'note' in my mind - need a recheck for grammar.

Now that I'm beyond my Catholic education and my 'intolerance' for poor grammar, I do not understand how any improvements will be made in the industry if members can only 'say' positive things?!!  I understand they desire no flaming, etc, etc, etc, but if only positive statements are allowed, how will site owners that join peace get constructive feedback about what is and what is not working?

Sellers have too many choices for discussion, listings, selling, chatting, etc. - I think I'm missing the point of PEACE.  In order for any business to move forward professionally and favorably, they must:

1.  Examine existing process, systems, procedures and policies
2.  Identify areas of weakness and/or areas for improvement
3.  Design/develop tools, scripts, processes, etc. to make improvements
4.  Test and Deploy

How will anybody know what needs to be improved if nobody can say anything but 'positive' statements......

I guess members are to show up and just say 'good morning, have a beautiful day.  Even if:

 - There photos are missing
 - The site is down
 - The site is slow
 - NPB's are running rapid

The 'business issues' are no longer important - nice is!!  Alrighty then....

3) If PEACE is supposed to be for Auction Site Support (owners & their staff only at this time), why is there a thread on the YHB forums titled Cross-Promotion for YHB Sellers telling YHB members they may link to any other PEACE sites they list on?  (Note...normally off-site linking is prohibited)

Additionally, there is another thread on YHB titled Peace Banners providing PEACE banners/links and encouraging SELLERS to display these banners on their YHB Store, YHB Forum Siggy, and/or their Web Sites/MySpace/etc.   Why would you ask SELLERS who aren't even allowed to join the group to advertise for it?

Just felt like a follow up was in order here.

The PEACE boards at YHB have now been removed from the general public view.  Apparently they felt the need to hide these.  PheeeBay has taught them well....

Wonder what else they're hiding and why?

I surely do not - I don't like hidden threads.....when we did it on VOR, it had a specific purpose - we discussed site information 'presented' by site owners - and our experience with our 'test-drives'.  We did not use it to bash others, gossip or play games....  At least - not that I remember.... hysterical hysterical
