I just stopped in at Waggelpop and a month ago they were down to 120 stores and shrinking and today their up to 276 stores. I think a lot of Ebay Stores have moved in. Boy I thought they was going out of business and their growing.

With the recent ebay announcements, many alts. are seeing good increases in listings.  The question is --- will the buyers follow?  I dunno....

For the TRUTH about WP see thread below:

http://community.tuliptoo...75.msg68140.html#msg68140

I will leave it at this. I live near WP owner Ray Romeo. Don't believe a thing you see on that site or anything you read inside the WP forum. Read the thread above and I can back up every statement I have made in that thread with hard evidence (posting ID Let the Truth be Told).

In short WP is a one man show run by a scam artist.

That is all I have to say about that at this time.

Good morning all

Martha and I drank the kool-aid at WP for a long time. Then we got the truth and saw the light. It took us a while to get out but after a long fight with them we did. In my opinion WP is a great place to stay away from. They try to hold you hostage, when you finally do "get it" they try to get one more payment out of you.

My advise is stay clear of anything they do, say, promise or offer. You can never get to Ray Romeo for answerers to questions you have. Some forum post get deleted if they don't like what you have to say. Their growth is all new unsuspecting sellers that will "get it" sooner or later. There is a lot on scams on the internet and in my opinion WP it one of them.

Edited to add

This forum has always been a positive place. I hope the WP infection does not take hold here.

All that Harold says above reminds me of one other site.....

I went 'there' for the first life of Wagglepop.  I'm numpty, admittedly so - but would rather be thrown under a bus that participate in Wagglepop, the reincarnate...  sniff sniff

They got me, because I was new and naive.  If there is anything I can say to anyone it is to avoid that place.

Yeah, gotta wonder about those 277 stores - the last several pages are stores with from one to five items in them.  How many are Ray re-creations?  I suppose there could be a few ebay refugees in there.

I've given wagglepop more than enough of my time already, a year and a half of hard work & next to no sales....and that's not even mentioning all the crap going on behind the scenes.

Wagglepoop is the biggest joke I have ever seen in the online auction industry.  Why ANYONE would pay to sell there, I'll never guess.

But I have a pretty good idea....um, idiots.

No I really don't have any intrest in promoting Waggelpop. My only intrest is that I used to have a store there. Some store owners do sell enough to pay there fees there though and I wouldn't go so far as calling the store owners idiots because of their hope for a alternate for Ebay. I know many of the sellers there are honest and wish to do well there. I also know many folks that were turned off by Ray and his actions and tactics. enough said about that.

There are some good points about Waggelpop.
1 A very Ebay type look that Ebay buyers should feel at home with.
2 Easy listing process
3 very reasonable cost $9.95 unlimited listing
4 fvf very reasonable
5 You really don't have to deal with Ray just don't try to tell him how to run his site
6 Items do fairly well on google searches

There also a lot I don't like also
1 Lack of buyers which is comman to all ebay want to bes
2 The invoice system would rather have a cart type checkout

I think that was aimed at me. Quilt have the greatest respect for your opinions and others on this board and I sure would not resort to name calling because I do not agree with what they post. I am not a trouble maker. All I have to say is I still have friends trying to sell on Waggelpop and the site is up and running and is fairly stable. I would have bet money it would be gone by now. I don't know Ray which a lot of folks dislike for one reason or not. I don't know him at all and I won't let myself get into a name calling about him. I hope your not mad at me because I concider you a on-line friend.

Yep Bob I can see what sellers would like at WP BUT, it is buyers who make or break a site. Right now buyers have no desire for an eBay alternative. Buyers don't have a concern for fees and never will.

Point in fact:

I could have looked past the WP1 issue if the site owner would have answered legitimate business questions. Don't care if he would have said he didn't have the money to advertise as long as he was honest and truthful to his customers. All Ray had to do was be honest with his customers and address those needs. Instead his greed got the best of him. Even if he spent $50 a month (which he never did) in advertising and said that is what we have budgeted at this time, it would have been an answer instead of a lie like that there is somebody other than Ray in his basement running the show, need pictures? I can provide them!!!

Bob,

I understand what you like about WP and what your intentions would be if you were to use it again (marketing for your websites). My beef was and never will be with the sellers (maybe one spamming popper) it will always fall squarely on Ray romeo.

Whether anybody likes it or not, facts are facts and all the facts have been posted in the TT thread I posted here earlier. I encourage all to read it and make your own judgment. Look past the emotions and study what has been proven without a shadow of a doubt, wagglepop is a one man show to line the pockets of Ray Romeo!!!

Joe - The Bar Keep

P.S. I am finding it difficult to continue with this thread because of my own personal experience with this site (WP). The thread at TT is where this should be discussed and at this time I would like to thank the owners of TT for allowing #1 my participation in that thread and for providing a place where people exiting WP can go to tell there story.

For those of you who fear participation in that thread because you are pro WP I will say this, The Crabby Host forum would not be today if it wasn't for the WP thread at TT. It's where we (Deb, myself & countless others) met and formed an unbreakable bond as sellers who suffered the same consequences of our knee jerk reaction to an eBay boycott. Yep, WP was where most of us knee jerked to summer 06' and TT is where we found our sanity as well as helped countless others in finding there way out of WP.
