So why didn't that Adam dude who called another poster a "douche" get banned???
Is it favoritism based solely on the fact that PSU didn't like the poster who was the target of that word?

Allison called names of DB also in that one thread where I asked her to change it.  I dunno if she did or not, or if it was edited or not - and I'm not going back.  It's too slow and I'm tired.

You should have seen the poster today who suggested men were better leaders and women were to 'maternally nurturing' - directed at Mo....    I responded a few times with much control (my fingers were tied together at the second knuckle).

Those 'posts' - with names, etc. are far worse than Deecan's -  - but we don't know if anyone is reporting them.  I don't even know how to...

Yes - Mo saw it and she replied.  You all would have been proud of her!  I'll have to find it for you all when the site functions a bit better.  I'll try again and if the site loads, I'll be back with it. 

It was - again, another newer user who ASSumed way more than he should, and when told so - flew back with a really stupid statement.

Some background - the starraider poster was very enthusiastic, and started discussing profit-sharing at Plunderhere in at least 2 threads.  Just kept inviting people to join in, and they could/would be rich when Plunderhere went public.

Sounds good right  ---  except one small piece of the equation.  He neglected to have a conversation with MO at anytime -  !!

Stage set - read (if ya can....) and watch as 'he' blesses us with 'his' intelligence.

Yah, he had been going on for a couple of days about that "profit sharing" idea of his. I was wondering when he would actually bring Mo into the conversation but he never really did. I thought Mo's line that he got a "lousy t-shirt" was because he was to cheap to buy some stock was absolutely great.

I mean that's the whole idea of profit sharing -- you give me some money now to get my business off the ground and I will share with you when it makes money. That's the whole basis behind the stock market.

That proved what an idiot starraider was.  He has no concept of how something actually works, yet feels free to give advice and set possible standards in regards to a business for which he has no input.  And...the damn thing about it is, is many of those feeble-minded posters at PSU were jumping right on the bandwagon, salivating like rabid dogs, rubbing their greedy little paws, hoping to list for free AND receive quarterly dividends. 

That who place made me want to scream...DUH??!! 

A boycott, running someone else's business, and calling Michael Moore....oh Gawd, I suddenly realized how exhausted I am.

Just thought I would update everyone this morning...

After a debate with PSUnite LATE last night, he explained why DeeCan was banned:

For your information I banned DeeCann because our firewall notified me that we where being attacked by an ip address originating from Germany with the ISP "VELIANET-DE-ANONYMOUSE" We didn't need the attack on our servers especially with the added traffic which was causing site problems already. I traced the ip to DeeCann's account. So you might want to ask her why she accessing this site from Germany which her profile says she is from Tennessee.

Which I calmly replied with:

I know why she was accessing it that way. I was on the phone with her. She couldn't get into PSU at all. I could. She thought she had been banned. I told her to try going in thru a proxy and see if that worked. Anonymouse is the one on my Google Toolbar, so I suggested she use it. She tried it and got in immediately. (And was also able to post BTW - so you might want to check your firewall).
Again...a knee-jerk reaction I think. I think you assumed once you traced it back to DeeCan's account, she was trying to break PSU based upon her outspoken posts. Not hardly. I had to talk her thru using a proxy to begin with.

While it may have been a legitimate reason (but I still think it was based soley on her posting style/remarks), why send the banned email with a link to a calm post?  Why not send a REAL email asking why she was accessing it through Germany, thus giving her an opportunity to explain?


So far no response, so I don't know if she has been reinstated or not.  Unfortunately, I did out her as being a friend of mine and ruined her rep. 



An interesting piece of information was revealed during our exchange which explained a lot of things (like Erin's post being removed).  Apparently when a post is reported at PSU, they ONLY READ THAT POST.  They don't take the time to read the posts before or after it in order to get a gist of the conversation and see in what context the post was made.

Sorry...but how can you make a just and fair assessment if you don't read the entire conversation?
