Come See What The SECRET Is All About!

« on: June 17, 2007, 06:08:51 AM »

So you want to show a picture of the item you have for sale. And you want to make it clickable so if someone is interested in it they can click it and get info. Guess what? I can help!!

Here is the code you need to use:
[*url=http://www.ListingURL.com][*img]http://listingphotourl[*/img][*/url]

Now first - please take out the "*". They are just there so you can read the code .

Now, where it says ListingURL? You want to replace that with the link to the item you are selling. And the ListingPhotoURL? I usually goto my listing and right click the photo and chose CopyImageLocation.

Anyone who needs help with this, post here or PM me. I will help anyone to do this. I know for a fact that this feature helps to sell items. Everyone should use it!

Have a great Crabby Day!

Since we can't use html in our ecrater store, are you using these "clickable photos" in your blogs or where?  Maybe in emails?  Thanks for your help.

Hey Ramona....

A Clickable photo can be used in many places.  Actually it should have said, a Clickable "IMAGE" because that code isn't just for photos.  It's for any type image you want to make clickable.  However, it is only for use when posting in a forum.  It is UBB code which is a little bit different than HTML and it won't always work in other places.  Some blogs use UBB code, but emails use html code.

It's mainly used for the banners and logos you see in many of the members' signatures.

The HTML code for clickable images is:

Code:
<a href="http://www.yoururlhere.com"><img src="http://yourimageurl.com"></a>

If you have any other questions like this, please post them here in the forum.  You never know when someone else may be wondering the same thing, but they're just too shy to post.
