I ended up sitting on the front steps with the dog watching me inside the door.
She barked at every kid. I gave her one of the bones she really likes and she chewed on that in between trick or treaters.
And with my new porch light I was able to actually read a book, the one I started in the summer.
I have some candy left over too!

When I was leaving for ball, my hubbie and my doggie were working on 'training'....
My hubbie was trying to keep him quiet and calm, and that made the dog more excited!  I left in a hurry and they are both still alive, so something was successful!!!

My son - he's 25 and totally nutty - frightened the trick or treaters - they weren't expecting a pirate to open the front door to them.

ROFL - last year or the year before, my hubby wore a really 'scary' mask....needless to say the little ones were extremely concerned - and didn't want to even speak let alone push their bag/basket towards him...

I always did the cutesy thing.  Even the house was decorated really cut with nothing scarey.  Even I am having a hard time adjusting to all the spooky stuff.   

All in all I realized the scariest place was at Crabby's  and I LOVED every minute of it ~not~
