Come See What The SECRET Is All About!

« on: September 11, 2007, 09:31:32 AM »

A solemn day in America's history. 9/11, Patriots Day. A day to remember all the 2996 confirmed dead or reported missing victims of a terrible tragedy.

This day touches the lives of all Americans in so many way.

I know victims. I know people whom have helped at Ground Zero. I worked in Tower 1, 89th floor.

I want to give a big thank you to the men and women in the Police Force and Fire Departments for everything they do. Every day they put their lives in danger to rescue and save lives.

Smile at someone new today. Be considerate and kind to others. Extend a hand of help to those who need it.

A big (((((((hug))))))) to those who have lost a loved one. They will never be forgotten.

Stupidity is its own punishment.

Thank you Patti.  Very well said and I only wish I could say it as well as you did.

I've been sitting here trying to find the words to express my thoughts and feelings, but they just don't seem to make it from my heart to the paper.  I'm much better at sarcasm and general crabbiness than I am at "mushy" sentimental stuff.

The main thing I want to say is...I haven't forgotten or forgiven and I never will.  My emotions still run just as deep today as they did six years ago.  So I would like to share a link to a wonderful site/organization who, in my opinion, have found an awesome way to remember the victims and heroes:  myGoodDeed.org

To each and every one of the Families that were touched by this tragic event...My thoughts are still with you and I can only hope you find peace some day.

To the Firefighters, Police Officers and everyone else who worked so hard during this trying time....You all are true heroes and have my utmost respect.  Don't you ever forget it or let anyone tell you otherwise.

Today is truely solemn day.
I can still remember that day clearly and don't plan on ever forgetting.
I remember the look of disbelief on everyone's faces.
I remember the stillness in the sky.
I remember all the American Flags on just about everyone's house and all the cars on the street had their headlights on.
I remember being glued to the television with my husband and discussing how do we explain this to the kids, how do we not scare them but get the message across that we need them to pray?
I remember taking out the garbage and found my middle son, 12 at the time, dressed in every Army type clothing he could find and his toy rifle. He told me he was securing the perimeter of the house.

Most of all I do remember the hero's of that day and thank God everyday that there are people out there willing to fight for us and keep us safe.

I find comfort in poetry, music, and silence. I found a beautiful poem that expresses my heart, and will share it with all of you.

The Eleventh Of September
Written by Roger J. Robicheau 2002

We mourn their loss this day this year
Those now with God, no danger near

So many loved ones left do stand
Confronting loss throughout our land

My heart goes out to those who do
No one can fathom what they view

I firmly pray for peace of mind
Dear God please help each one to find

And to our soldiers now at war
God guide above, at sea, on shore

They are the best, I have no doubt
Our country’s pride, complete, devout

The finest force you’ll ever see
All freedom grown through liberty

One final thought comes clear to me
For what must live in infamy

Absolutely - We’ll Remember
The Eleventh - Of September
