I let you know if we beat 2! The husband is cranking up the fireplace soon and I was thinking maybe we should have some of those flaming drinks in the bar later. Sound good?
I'll go look for recipes.
I should be on the computer the rest of the day, when I was out earlier I bought myself 40 ozs. of Mocha Alert Cappuchino and I'm speeding right now!

By Steve Barnes

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Feb 6 (Reuters) - Tornadoes and thunderstorms ravaged several states in the American South overnight, killing at least 26 people, injuring dozens and causing widespread damage, emergency services and local media said.

The violent storms swept across Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi, overturning trucks, trapping people, ripping up houses, smashing cars, and uprooting trees. By early Wednesday morning, the city of New Orleans and the states of Alabama and Georgia were also under tornado warning.

Two of the states hit by the tornadoes -- Arkansas and Tennessee -- were involved in "Super Tuesday" as a total of 24 states across the country held nominating contests ahead of November's presidential election.

Wow!

We were very blessed here.  The media started posting severe storm warnings all over the TV and radio yesterday warning of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow and then ice.  From what I can tell the temperature went up a bit and thankfully everything is turning to rain.  For those of you less fortunate your in our thoughts and prayers.

Joe - I saw this late last night and again early this morning.  How horrible and sad!  I hope everyone we know is super safe - we got snow last night/this morning and therefore....a Snow Day!  I'm praying that my boys sleep in for a long while!!!

Our roads are a bit messy and there were some wrecks last night - why is it so hard 4 people to slow down?   whip Joe

Sometimes you have to slow down to go faster.

Good morning Joe and everyone. It is almost to nice here on the Virginia eastern coast. My thoughts are with the mid states, the ones that lost friends and family. The everyday problems get small at times like this. We hope everyone stays safe today.

What?

6-9 inches now falling quickly and my guy came home from work and tried to park the car.  It kept rolling backwards down the drive.

My driveway (we have his and hers) has an incline AND is on the north side of the house!  We got rain first, followed by sleet, then the snow...

Needless to say, I tried to get into my garage night before last (on the slick sleet stuff), and no-go!  Had to park in hubbie's garage - flat and faces the east!

Cold here, but the white 'stuff' has quit for now (I wish for good)!!
