Well....I'm in KS - close to the Mo border, north part of the state and it's been raining here all day.  However, we've got that wind you're talking about and it's probably drying and blowing all the moisture as fast as it falls - not a good day to be outside!  I honestly don't know what the temperature is, haven't looked - as I know I'm going no where....

We also had ice/snow in the forecast - but so far ---- only rain and huge winds here.

It's dreary here and still very moist!  Some rain, but no snow.  It missed us - which is neither here/there - eh?

Well the snow turned to rain last night, then it stopped during the day and started up again tonight. It's suppose to turn to snow tonight, we'll see!

We missed all the snow (darn - not really) but it's in the 20s here now!  Cold toes again today - with socks on....

I don't know what's going on here!
The snow was coming down pretty good when I got up, but now it's stopped. Last night the wind was so strong it woke me up. According to the news we are suppose to get hit with a lot of snow but not as much as New York!
My little weatherman (Boy #3) was keeping a close eye on the weather and keeping me informed all weekend. But the poor kid had to go to school this morning.

It looks like you are getting a bit of "lake effect" today. We are on the wrong side of Lake Michigan to get that kind of "leftover" snow from the wind blowing over the water. But when a storm IS right here if the winds are from the east at all, our "lake effect" can intensify the storm and pile on a few extra inches more than about 50 miles or so inland.

Saturday we had the mess I posted before. Sunday it drizzled/rained off and on most of the day. Now it's cold, 21*. So the heavy wet snow got heavier and is now frozen crud.

The wet snow bent several of the ribs on my 1/2 greenhouse. This type of storm is the same thing that destroyed the other 1/2 of it about 5 years ago.

What is it about the weather that seems to get everyone on edge??  Ray has been crabbing at me all morning because I can't do something today (I have an appointment) that we were going to do yesterday but couldn't because of the weather.

With me, its the wind...it rubs my nerves raw!  After the wind I am just fine. (so long as I have my coffee)  So what I do to keep from being a  is keep plenty of soothing things going, chamomile tea, peppermint tea, sandalwood candles and such... Makes me a lot nicer to be around.

We are supposed to have good weather for the next 3 days 60-70 degrees each day!  Then...back into a storm.
