Hi! My name is Sue.

« on: November 02, 2007, 09:44:46 PM »

My sons girlfriend just left. She is taking a class in High School called Family Life and they sent her home with a life-like baby. She has to take care of it all weekend! It has a memory stick in it, so it monitors everything that happens. It cries, coo's and burps. She has to feed it every 2 hours and change diapers.
It was so funny to watch her and she kept asking my son for help and he kept asking her where to button was to turn it off! hysterical hysterical

If your son ever figures out where that button is, let me know.

That's too funny Sue!!

They've come a long way.  When I took Family Life, they sent us home with eggs.  We had to babysit the egg all weekend.  Needless to say, there were alot of casualties.  sniff

I went to Catholic High School and they sent us home with wrapped knuckles for looking at the opposite sex, let alone speaking to them.... hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical

Needless to say, we did not get to 'assume' a parental role with a doll, eggs or nothing!!  blink1

Okay this thing is sensored for everything! If you don't keep it's head still and keep the head supported it make a sound that means "neck something" I forgot what she called it but she called my son this morning and told him she had a neck alarm thing twice so far. She gets points off for that.
Then she said it started crying on the way home last night so she pulled over and stopped her car to take care of it! She lives 2 minutes away!
Boy #2 is working all weekend so I don't know if I'll hear anymore. I told the girlfriend to come over anyway, I'm making home-made soup tomorrow!

Loving every minute of it!!!  for sharing Sue!!  I'm hopeful that 'fake baby' gives her a buncha grief - not much better birth control out there -  !!

I play softball with some a bit younger than I - they always say when I make my boys come to the field (esp. when they're grounded) - it's the best form of Birth Control they've ever seen!!  blink1 gotcha

She got an A+! rah rah
She came over for dinner last night and said she had points taken off for the "neck failure".
But had very little crying time.
The teacher just takes the memory stick out of the doll, puts it in the computer and prints out all the data!
Pretty cool!

Good news for her!!  And...yes - technology is simply amazing.  I wish I could reprogram my teen-agers current memory stick - we seem to have some faulty connections... sniff hysterical hysterical hysterical
