I received one of those special promotion's announcements in my email late tonight and boy was I shocked to hear how eBay out of the blue decided to run this promotion. So this only pertains to sellers who sell on eBay motor's and list store inventory items in parts & Accessories, yes that is the category I list in on eBay. Take a look at the ebay announcement in the link below:

http://pages.motors.ebay....omo/freesiflisting/12207/

Yes that is correct, free listing fees but the FVF is a flat 10%  hysterical hysterical hysterical So this has a drastic affect on my selling fees on eBay. Let's say I sell something for $150.00 that was listed during this 2 week period. The normal FVF's would be $10.25 + the listing fee, under this promotion the FVF will be $15.00  and the listing fee is free. Now keep in mind that all items listed during this period will be tagged with that flat rate FVF for 30 days. Does it make sense to you to spend an extra $4.75 to save on average for me 11 cents in listing fees? Well it doesn't make sense to me and many other people in fact, see ebay discussion threads below:

So I did manage to adjust my eBay strategy for the next 2 weeks (which are traditionally the busiest in what I sell). I also spent about an hour on eBay live help, boy was that amusing  hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical started in eBay live help then moved to eBay Motor's live help where i was told to go to eBay stores live help to receive my dose of idiotic statements live help can make.

Sorry to hear that you had to go through all of that Joe, but at the same time I know what you are talking about.  Every time it happened to me I thought I was losing my mind. I had a minor problem on ebay a few times and it is awful the amount of time and energy that goes into resolving an issue that should not have been an issue in the first place.   Funny enough the last time I had a problem at ebay I posted at Crabbys and got my answer almost immediately.  One more reason to LOVE Crabbys and to seek and alternative.

15% FVF?

So - have listings gone 'up' or down for this category?  This is one of the silliest ever promotions.  Parts can range from .99 and under up to xxxxx.xx - what were they thinking?   hysterical hysterical hysterical hysterical

Seriously...did anyone look at the fee chart?  It's completely messed up!  Looks like someone in the promo graphics department forgot to finish it.
