Hi! My name is Sue.

« on: August 10, 2007, 07:43:41 AM »

I have to list some costume jewelry on eBay.
I was wondering if anyone knows if there are going to be any reduced listing fee specials coming up?

Thank you,
Sue

Who knows  hysterical  eBay never tells us until the last minute.

They've gotten to where they have some kind of special pretty much once a week.  They wiill announce it sometime the day before it starts.  Seldom are they reduced 'fee' days though.

You could go ahead and get your pictures taken. descriptions written and saved in MS Word, etc. and  then you'll be ready to go as soon as they announce one.

Others may have different results, but I never do too good on listing specials.  The market ends up saturated with a ton of stuff and there is so much more competition than usual.  If I were you what I would start doing is researching the closed auctions on eBay and watch how the ending prices are going.  If you see them starting to pick up, that may be your best time to list as opposed to waiting for a special.

Very good advice.  I prep my auctions on turbo lister and auctiva to at least take some of the edge off when ebay does have a listing fee.  I am telling you right now
