Shipping Matrix ... What The Heck Is This?!?

When I first went into the Shipping Matrix in my eCrater store I cringed. How was I supposed to set this up? I ship all over the place in the US and its different to everyone.

After considering all my choices, this is what I decided to do. Since I live in NY and the furthest state away from me is CA, I looked up for every pound how much it would cost and that works for me.

Also, for smaller items, I will put in a fixed price. It gets a little confusing for customers when they make multiple purchases and they look at the shipping. I explain to customers I refund execessive shipping charges to them. And that makes them happy .

So what if your items don't weigh 1 pound? What if you ship in say ounces? Well, then treat the matrix as if it is set in ounces. Set your 1 lb at say $3.00 then on 2 LBS you can change it to $3.50 and so on. Also remember when you are setting your weights. .50 is 1/2, .25 is 1/4 and so on.

Do not be afraid of the Shipping Matrix. Just make it work for your needs!!!
