OK now on to my colors of the new site?

What would a good color be?  I was going to go with pink but I have changed my mind.
I want a really nice color and did decide on either greens or blues, but I would love your ideas pretty please.

I like Ivories and Creams.  Something that looks clean and fresh.
Blue is a very soothing color.  Yellow is not recommend.  Pink screams girl so I guess it depends if you are only interested in selling to women.

I am partial to pastel colors on websites.  Shades of blue, purple and pale green always slow me down to take a look at a website.  Bright colors alway make me feel slightly rushed.

OK - I know ya moved beyond the name....but I'm always a day late and a dollar short!!

What about:

BaysBeautyfulSkinCare

BeautyfulSkinCare-Bays

I'm trying to 'use' the BaysBeauty (for Bays brand....) and the topic at hand!  Skin Care.

Make sense?

I do like the creams and the 'softer colors' - do not care if they are blues, grays, etc. - just inviting....

Now...what ya think?

Thanks for the compliment, it's funny, when choosing colors, because there really is a lot to consider. I have my Cherished site pink and green, with dominant being pink, my target buyer is women for that site. Who would have thought pink and green would work??  LOL

My books site is green, a bit of a feminine touch, not sure if that just came out of me because I am a female, but sometimes I get a little turned off by it being a tad too feminine for a books store.  I kept a little similarity in the front pages for branding and the easy transition between the sites. I get cross site buyers a lot.  They look for the vintage lady LOL.  So I have heard.

So for your new site, maybe the creams and ivories and some light browns mixed in there, but I would consider keeping a little branding if you can with some similarities that scream out at me that this is a Bays Beauty site.

That seems to help me quite a bit.

Really great suggestions.

Now I need to put a zen cart in there!

Do I just go to the zen cart forum and pick my template and down load it into my FTP?  I have never done this on my own before.

Bays,
Since bay is like a body of water, and skin care I think of freshness and clean how about a beach color theme, sand, white, and a very pale baby blue.

You are awesome!!!!  I love the beach and the water and the sand more than anything in the world!  Why didn't I ever think of that???  Maui is my favorite place in the whole world and I have always wanted a site that was tropical with everything that you mentioned.  You did it.  Thank You!

Now on to my Read Me Page to learn how to download my zen cart into my FTP.  I hope I'm doing this right.

I did add the new site in there.
