I'm thinking of adding a second store. I contacted my hosting provider and he said that my account will handle it and all I have to do is registor a new domain name and go the cpanel and add the domain and it would create a root file. I can't beleive it would be that simple. Has any one done this and clue me in how this works.

Wonderful news Bob that your thinking of a second cart.  I am of no help, but congratulations on your new venture.  I'm sure the gang will be along soon to walk you through it.

The reason's for adding a 2 store:

1: Shipping I have too many different items that take different shipping requirements
2: Search engines will give double exposure to them.

Those are the two main concerns I have there probably more reasons to do it also

At first I was going to just add the second cart to my existing hosting account but then my security certificate would act as a shared certificate with the second store. That's a downer for doing that I think next month I'll get this store up and running.

That part is really simple....but then you will also need to install a new zencart in the root file.

After setting up the domain name, then you go into your Cpanel and click on the MySQL® Database Wizard to create a database for the new cart.  It's pretty easy to do if you just follow the directions.  Make note of what the database and usernames are because you'll need this information when you get ready to install the zencart.

Example:    Database:  thectcom_abs   User:  thectcom_abscom

Once you get the domain setup and a new database installed, you'll be ready to install the ZenCart.  The best way is thru FTP.

Just bumping this up to see if Bob ever did add a second domain? Also Bob if you were planning on using that stock by attributes mod the second store would be even more beneficial.
