Hi Folks.

I felt the need for this thread after some people were having difficulty in understanding all the information flying round about IWAC Stores.

If admin could sticky this for me please we would appreciate it.

========================================================

As I am in the middle of redesigning the whole Help section, I have  tweaked the current help section and will provide a whole bunch of links below for all to read.

IWAC Explained

IWACStores site fees

Webstores dedicated Board at IWACStores community

IWACStores Community Forum and IWACStores board on The Crabby Host is full of information, questions and answers.

How To guide

Webstore FAQ

If you still cannot find the answer to your question ask away no matter how small you feel the question may be.

Thanks Erin.

This won't apply to you as you have experience with Probid Scripts but i have created a 'How To' help topic over at IWAC Forums.

This is for mainly new people and will eventually be put into the new Help Section On the main site.

Obviously, this is working out for me, three sales since I added my website all international.  I see my store with IWAC come up in searches already, and other than being incredibly down with the flu right now, this is well worth it and I am happy with this. Big time.  I just need the energy to get links and banners up about it on myspace and other places I hang out.  It is on my blog.  I was also planning to add a second website, but am still under the weather.  Have not been sick for three years like this, had no clue what was going on with me.  LOL.  This year I did not take the flu shot.  Hummmmm.....Anyway this is a great deal people!

I am so glad that I stumbled on this thread as I was one that had the problems understanding a few things.
Me being the dork I am, I didn't take in the conversion rate of money.  My fault for not reading all the info
before I jumped in with both feet.

Now when I have time I really need to get to reading all the information that you have up for us, but at the moment I have fallen behind on too many things.  Alana is a great advertisement for you!     I guess we need to get the word out about you.  I know I have some friends over at ECA and if your not a member yet, please go on over and join and tell them that I sent you.  I will keep an eye out for you if you decide to join so that I can welcome you and let the community know that you have an awesome place for us.

Alana, I'm sorry to hear that you do not feel good sweetie!  Hope you feel better soon.  By the way, I talked to our friend the other day that we have in common and it sure was nice to hear her voice.

Hiya Rob!  OK....I am 'testing' your bulk lister today.  Was not on my to-do list, but my football game is terribly lopsided (my team is kicking the other teams bootie)!

I do have *.pbl files still around here from other sites.  I am able to 'open' them with the PBL on IWAC, however - I'm having a few issues.  I'm in no hurry on this so don't loose sleep!

1.  It won't bring in my photos - which means each listing will need an edit...

2.  I can't get the html wysiwyg to 'save' changes I make to the description.  There are two icons next to description - one is preview and the second is 'composer'.  I make changes in composer, but when I save, they don't save... --- shout if this isn't clear!

I'll be playing with it a bit, but am more concerned about the photos than the other!  I suspect I'll need to modify each listing anyways....

Hi Bays.

I will run over there and check them out.

Thanks for the headsup. ;)

Hiya Erin..

I am 99% sure that the image issue would down to one thing.

If you uploaded the images on the other site, and not used a URL, then it is trying to call that image path from that site to IWACs, which of course does not exist.

If you are using the url then, I will look further into it also with note 2).

Thanks Rob!  I am over there right and and to be honest with you doing 4 other things at the same time!   hysterical

But I see you have a sale on your webstores from what I'm reading so far and if that is the case, I'm signing up!  rah rah

Still doing my reading and I'm so glad that you brought all this info here for us.

Your much appreciated my friend.

hysterical hysterical hysterical - well guess what?  They were loaded from my desktop!!!

That's OK - I will have to sort/edit/anyway - now....here's the worst scenario of this!!!  Do you think my photos are in order, and do you think they're easy to find.... sniff

Guess how many photos are on my hard drive?

A.  2,500
B.  5,000
C.  25,000
D.  The above +

A good piece of news - the site did not eat my html - so we know now the html issue I had at another phpprobid site was not related to the script (which...I already new)!!

If you are anything like me Erin the answer will be D times 5! lol

What I meant by my last post with the images being loaded was that, when you load from your desktop they get uploaded to the sites server, and the site the uses that URL that is on the server.

So its not calling them from your desktop, but trying to call them from that specific site.

No comment on your last sentences!   :not_me: :not_me:

Rob - I figured that was it!  I was hoping....since they BL creates 2 files - one that is .pbl and the other is 'images' that it 'might' keep a relationship between the two when I exported them off the other site!  Ho----hum - I guess I'll have an opportunity to 'find' some photos that are misplaced - eh?  ROFL!!  toast toast

Julie and Rob,

I'm just making sure you received my email through your Contact Us?

I have been in my store and adding all my information and keywords galore and thinking about getting your Webstore deal if I am reading that right.  I'm excited after reading what Alana posted.
