This is to make way for a new improved IWAC, the name will be different, iwacstores.com and the way IWAC is operated will be different. All on the 1st. Oct.

We have most of the hard parts done, just a few things to be done now, like SEO, that needs to change a little to cater for stores rather than auctions. I think thats the biggest job left to do on the list.

But all is moving smoothly so far, no system glitches, no script issues. Its going great!

Wow looks really good to me.  Just kidding everyone I know exactly what the new IWAC is going to be. Heck I helped develop the idea. Main thing to remember here is that there isn't going to be an alternative site that everybody wants to eBay nor should there be.

Auctions are on the decline, take a look at eBay for instance. Do you remember the days when you could sit and watch your auctions get bid up really high in the last five minutes of an auction? I do and those days are gone for the most part on eBay except for very few sellers or niches. So what is it that caused the wind to die out in online auctions? Hell that is an easy one, the novelty wore off and besides 80% of online shoppers don't buy at auction sites to begin with.


So where are we now as the alternative to eBay sites struggle to pick up the scraps from the 20% of online buyers that do buy at auction sites that eBay has failed to gobble up. Well it doesn't look good for the alternative to eBay sites if you ask me anyway but why would someone want to list at auction in the first place at an alternative site? Does having your item sell for the starting bid after a few re lists appeal to you? Well it doesn't appeal to me because there are other options out there like BIN or having a store in a site such as IWAC. Heck there is an even better idea why not control your inventory via your own independent website and still be able to have your items visible to the 20% of buyers that buy at auction style or marketplace type sites.


Does listing and maintaining inventory on a half dozen alternative sites and eBay appeal to you as well with little to no profit at the end of the day? Well it doesn't appeal to me and there is a better way.


One more question for everyone. What is 80% + 20%? Simple right? Well yes and no but in this case I am talking about 100% of online buyers and that is exactly what IWAC will be geared towards when the site relaunches. This is all made possible with one simple concept which is also being implemented for the first time ever for online shoppers and sellers. This new concept is called:

The Pooled Marketing Concept

The new IWAC will be the first of it's kind and you won't want to miss out on 100% of the online buyers.

We have made 90% of the changes effective as from now.

All we have to do is apply the fees, which will be exactly 1 week from now!
 Also during this week we will be writing up the Meta tags and press releases to be sent out during this week.

I would like to say that IWAC Stores is now full operational.

Since changing over the domain name a few days ago, and submitting the press release over the past few days, IWAC Stores has hit the top 100,000 in the alexa rankings!

Hi Folks a quick update.

We have deleted the Buy It Now option fee.

This is for one simple reason.....

We are a Buy It now only site and feel we should not charge for this feature. This will give people a chance to use the Free store option and get a feel of the site to see if the preferred Seller store option is the best option for those people.

TJRStores - a quick question for ya....what is the difference between a free store and a web store on IWAC?  I just started looking at the site, so if the details are around, point me - wud ya?

Hi Erin.

We have 3 types of stores over at IWAC.

Store option 1) Free Store. The store is free but you pay site fees. (fvf'S, OPTIONAL UPGRADE FEES)

Store Option 2) The Preferred Seller Store. This store costs £2.50 ($5) per month and you pay no other fees at all (This includes FVF's). All you pay is the store fee each month.

Store Option 3) The Webstore. This will allow you to post 1 single listing on the site and is a direct link to your website. You can use that 1 listing to promote your website too.

 I am at present redesigning the whole help section and files to make things alot easier for people to get to grips with. Also the forum we have is full of information to help you out too. If you don't find it ask and we will help too.

Thanks Rob for the speedy answers and also Joe for renaming!  Since I'm too numpty to have my own online store (self-admitted scared-to-death-non-super-technical-gal), that option makes great business sense, but wouldn't work for me today!

The other 2 are perfectly defined.  I need to quit yakking at forums, and check it out more!  When I get an hour/two, I'll join, read, learn, explore the forums and see if I'm still 'numpty' about life at IWAC!

I seriously do agree with you Joe 110% that auctions are becoming stale.  I believe the market, and also the sellers - prefer to 'sell it', 'service it', 'ship it', and be done with 'it'.   

You all are the bestest!! (as my youngest used to say)!

Thanks Rob - I'll get over there first of the week!!  We're wrapping up the softball season here in KS (yes....it's chilly at night), and between now and Sunday - I've got at least 8 games! 

So, I gotta manage a sub for tonight and then get my boys squared away for the weekend tourney!  I will stop by over there and check things out tho - !!
