Just wanted to stop by to this thread and touch on a few points of interest about IWAC and tell a little story. First I would like to point out a few things that I talked to the IWAC owners about several months ago (June I believe). I asked myself what do I need from an alternative venue if I was planning on breaking away from auctions. See list below:
#1 The selling tools to promote myself (just check out the webstores section of the IWAC forum
#1 A site that promotes me to buyers for me
#1 A site that advertises to buyers and not to sellers
#1 A site that is constantly looking at new ways to adapt to the ever changing environment of online selling
#1 A site that would allow me to be in full control of my own business by allowing their customers to go directly to my website
#1 A site that would allow me to compete with estore type sellers so I can reach a market I would normally miss
#1 A site that has owners who will handle customer service issues directly and in a timely manner
#1 A site that has owners who will listen and learn from what their customers (the sellers) want and need
#1 A site that is basically at its infancy stage so my business will grow as the site grows (always get in early)
#1 A site that looks as good as my site and is appealing to buyers (just accomplished

)
#1 A site with owners like Rob & Julie

#1 A site that sees what direction the online selling and buying markets is heading
#1 Did I mention all of the above and more?
Now how did all this come about in IWAC Stores? It's simple, Rob and Julie are the type of site owners that you can't begin to place a value on. Yes Deb & I had a hand in developing the IWAC Stores you see today (never exchanged any money or asked to be thanked either as someone else mentioned on another forum

) but that is only because as seasoned online sellers we know what it will take to survive online in the years to come. Bringing independent websites into the mix at IWAC Stores is huge in terms of marketing capabilities.
What amazes me is that there is a place for online sellers where the playing field is level. You can be a preferred store or a webstore, you are getting the same exposure from IWAC. Now advertising, for those of you that don't know me I am an established independent website owner. Some have called me a marketing guru. I have been advising Rob & Julie on their advertising a bit but that will be stepped up even more by the end of this week.
My best advice to anyone thinking about joining IWAC is this, don't delay do it now!!! History in online selling proves the most successful always are in at the beginning.I will also make it a point to attend the IWAC forum and start a marketing thread for your store by the end of this weekend as well as a more personalized marketing thread here at The Crabby Host.
