Everything Happens for a Reason

« on: August 04, 2007, 01:48:09 PM »

Ok folks here we go.......the long overdue Diet post.  This isn't going to be just any diet post this is going to be the ultimate post.  We can fill it with inspirational stories of success or woes, recipes, cartoons and anything else that comes to mind.  I plan to visit here on a regular basis and use it as my own motivation to stay focused and get inspired.  Stop in often or else I am going to end up posting to myself.

Now I would start by saying how much I weight, and then how much I would like to lose.  It is best not to do that, because then I would have to come back and say how much I gained and that is a negative and the only negatives we want here is from the scale.

So just to begin and get the ball rolling.  I'm fat!  Really no reason for it other than a gazillion lame excuses I could come up with. (Really, really good lame excuses).   Hopefully someone will post soon or else I will have to start naming them one by one.  hysterical

Ok...Diet Complaint #1  hysterical

Why are all those healthy, lose weight recipes so darn complicated?
If they would make it easier and faster to fix healthy food than it is to make the good stuff, I would be sold.

Anybody got any good EASY diet recipes they want to share....besides eating carrot sticks and celery?   *clam*

So I read somewhere that if you get that gotta eat a sweet gotta eat salt, gotta eat a sweet back to the salt swings go eat a pickle.  Sounds crazy but it works and helps ease the craving of both sweet and salt. :nana

Hey if anyone can give some great recipes for "HEALTHY food" please.  I don't want to do anymore work than I absolutely have to and I really want some of the ingredients and instructions to include chocolate, fried, cheese cake and none of that green stuff, please.

I do have a tip for exercise though.    rah rah see this little cheerleader?  Well if you watch her long enough you lose a fraction of an inch off your butt, really!!!

A very good diet plan, and really it's a lifestyle change is the South Beach Diet. Both my sisters have been on it for about 6 months and have lost weight and feel better. It is also heart healthy and was created by a cardiologist.

It isn't easy at first, but there are lots of south beach diet products on the market. It is a much healthier version than the Atkins Diet was. I always do well on lo carb, hi protein. So when my diet gets too carb loaded, I go back on the high protein, lo- carb regiment.

I love meat and cheese so the protein diet was a great thing to find

I just really need to get off my very shapely derriere and start walking or doing something that is considered exercise.

Even my dog needs to trim down....mmmmmmmm

Walk the dog.... walk the dog.... :sleepy1walk the dog........

I just hate the thought of walking in 100 degree weather when the humidity is at 90%.... nitpicker

Here is a nice snack so to speak.  Or if you are so hungry you can't stand it and don't want to blow it on your eating habits.

Quaker
Quaker Rice Snacks Apple Cinnamon Light, Crispy Crunch!  Other flavors are availbe.

You can eat 8 mini cakes with zero fat and only 60 calories.  If you eat them and drink it with lots of water it can be really filling.  I can usually control my hunger and not eat all 8 cakes.  Which means later when I am starving to death I do the same thing over again.

If you have a problem with eating too much in the evenings, go to bed at 7.30 pm every night and ask your partner to hand cuff you to the bed, you never know, you may solve two problems in one, by spicing up your sex life at the same time

This makes for an excellent diet tool.  If you are hungry for something and start scrounging around the cupboards  pop one of these in your mouth. They are packed with great taste and also available in other flavors.   If you do decide to eat something afterwards whatever you put in your mouth will taste awful and you won't want to eat it after all.
