diablo troll troll troll It's about 45 right now....and we've got some breezing going on!  The issue is ... I have to unload my car and put it all into my other car - which won't fit in the garage cuz there's too much 'stuff' in there....I used to be able to pull in both of my cars - but - my home became the storage bin for the entire family...

I'm still waiting for warmth - hoping at 3:30pm - to 'go' - warmest part of the day!

Groan....I 'need' to start that deep cleaning process for the holiday parties I'm hosting (yucky) and also the out-of-town guests I'm hosting!

OK - changed the top of this thread as each day I try to be productive, I have a new issue/question/help topic!!!  troll troll troll troll troll

Today, my vacuum sucks.  Let me rephrase this - it is NOT SUCKING.  With 3 floors, 1 dog, and 3 males - this is a 'bad thing'.  I've taking the darn thing apart, I've cleaned all the filters and everything I can find - does anyone have any additional suggestions?  And - in reality - it is sucking, but will not pick up squat....

Second issue - I did scrape the caulk around one of my bathtubs.  Somebody before me - had place caulk strip on top of another and - long story short, there appears to be a yellow 'stain' that is much wider than I want my new caulk strip to be.  I've tried bleach, and assorted non-scratch but abrasive type cleaners - any other ideas on how to get this off?

If I can't, I guess I'll have a wider than desired caulk line around my tub... sniff

Do you think all this is a sign that I just need to go back to bed?

Erin - I sympathize with you hysterical I have 2 kids (3 and 1/2), a husband who thinks the dining room table is the dumping spot for all his crap and 9 cats ( yes I am the crazy cat lady hysterical)

What kind of vacuum do you have? I might be able to pass along some tricks of the trade. I vacuum my house at least twice a day to keep down on the cat hair. There is a great product out on the market made by Arm and Hammer that helps loosen up hair on the rug. Also helps in the vacuum itself to keep all the hair together.

I know there is a product out there that will also take care of your tub problem. I just have to wait for hubby to come home to pick his brain. hysterical  He is a tile guy (jack of many trades) and would have to deal with this problems on repair jobs. So I'll get that answer to you. Also - what is the material that the stain is on? Is it tile or vinyl?

Replace your belts. Usually when there is a 'sucking' problem, it boils down to Bags, Belts or Filters.  Sounds like you've already covered two of the three.

What happens is the belts stretch out and become loose which prevents the brushes/rollers from doing their 'thang' properly.

Usually you can pick up belts at WalMart...so it's a DIY simple fix.

Also you might want to tell us what the tub is made of...fiberglass, porcelain...

Different types use different stuff.  (And sometimes none of it works. )

My brake light is on in my trooper.  Has been for a long time.  My hubby (the mechanic) checked it.. not low on anything and pads all fine etc... stumped he took it to the shop we use and they checked it... turned out it was just a sensor...we had it fixed... happened again... so basically it boils down to our sensors don't work right...

Now i have brake light on ... forever LOL

Dang it....forgot to mention that I replaced the belt on the darn vacuum about 3 weeks ago.  So - it should be good - but I will look to see if it is 'not'....

My vacuum is a Dirt Devil and it is not very old.  What stinks and makes me thing something is wrong - when I got it, it had such strong suction that my oldest ran over the cord, and it 'ate' it.  I mean - in less than 2 seconds, it chunked the protective cover to the power cord - I had never seen a vacuum with that type of suction do that.

I know, over time, they do loose some level of power.  But to go from 'eating' a power cord to not picking up lint is annoying me to no end!  WE vacuum frequently too - to minimize the dog hair....which drives me crazy!!

I've taken it apart, sucked out anything/everything I can think of with a shop-vac (thinking something may have clogged), replaced all the filters  - I'm just 'baffled' beyond belief!  Perhaps I need a new vacuum - seems like I'm 'there' every 1-2 years in recent years. troll troll troll

My tub is fiberglass.

I absolutely get super frustrated when my 'tools' do not work!!!!  Can you tell I've added a few grays to my head today?

We did check the brake fluid, which was 'low' for my car!  Hubbie filled it and said 'good to go' - I'll be watching to see if the darn thing comes back on!!

I had a sensor issue in my van!  It always made me crazy to drive around with a light on - as I was raised that those lights 'light up' for a reason... blink1 blink1  It was hard to ignore, but I did manage!
