Thanks gang,

Still feeling my way around here.  Navigating is a bit dif here , but I'll get the hang of it.

Hey, I noticed the "shallow thoughts" last nite while looking around.  But you should give them their props, if known. I saw one of my favorite movie lines yesterday -- the one about the Borgias and the cookoo clocks. That's from "The Third Man", said by "Harry Lime", played by Orson Wells as they are coming down from the ferris wheel.

I'll be around here more as I find things of interest. Probably some of the "cart" stuff and if you have anything on CSS. As usual I need to update my site again and want to find something easier.

Got my first indoor market today. That's why I'm up so early.

BTW, this is the first board that I've been able to get the smilies to actually work for me.    For some odd reason they never seem to show up properly anywhere else.

Thanks,
Carol

Hey Carol - I hope your indoor market goes well!!!!  There's a thread here where we are all going to be made 'smarter' on a variety of 'owning your own site' topics and I think CSS is in there.  If not....I bet the teachers will be happy to share on that topic too!

Best of sales at the market to you.  We actually are in the 40(s) here with great sunshine and 60(s) planned!!   rah rah rah rah rah rah

The indoor market was fantastic yesterday. I don't think we've ever done that well inside.

We are expecting warm but possibly drizzly weather for the next couple of days. I've got enough inside work to do, so it's ok if it's a bit wet. But I'm hoping to get a greenhouse built yet this fall and we are running out of time and decent weather for working outside.

I saw that there are a couple of areas about CSS with some links, but I just haven't had the energy and clear brain lately to try to absorb that stuff just now. I'll have to look around more too for the other "site" stuff. Hopefully when things calm down with my other work soon. I think I need to do more with my web site and maybe things like Squidoo for this coming year's seed season.

When the seeds are dried, I will have some great watermelon seeds available this year. We had so many great melons in a really crummy weather summer. I'll get a page up on how we grew them and some things we discovered. Hey, maybe we can get a growing talk page here like we had at VOR (remember Tuesday Tomato Talk)

I need to get some work done today while the crew isn't around, but I've been struggling with a mini-migraine (sp?). It's better now than a couple of hours ago, but I still don't feel like doing anything yet.

Have a good football Sunday everyone,
Carol

Thanks for the info Carol!  Sometimes where I get them it doesn't say, so this week I made it a point put "Unknown" or "Anonymous" on those.

That's awesome news about the Indoor Market!  I'm so glad it went well for you.

I'm still learning CSS myself, so maybe we can figure it out together.  So far I'm liking it much better than HTML though.

  Happy Sunday everyone!

Carol - Congrats. on the indoor market!  That's just super, duper good!

It's overcast here - so quasi-gloomy - I've not been out, but it's supposedly in the 50s --- could be a bit nicer.

I did enjoy the Tuesday tomato talk!  That was fun.  Also, when you talk about Squidoo, you are a great example of how it can be used.  Your growing knowledge is so outstanding - you could use that and then 'promote your items, sauces, seeds, etc'.

Another thought that just 'popped' in my radar - all the alt. auction site info. you have on your site ---- another great topic for Squidoo!

I do enjoy the Squidoo'ing!  It's easy enough for me to 'share' and 'play' with a small amount if time invested.

Later gal - when you all yak about CSS - you know you've completely lost me...

Wes,

I know you were a regular in that Tomato thread, but I think Bob with the movie gift baskets started the thread. Doesn't really mater tho. Quite a few of the old VOR gang are here too I've seen.

Well hopefully as soon as I have a bit more time, I'll do something like that here. If someone beats me to it, let me know where it is so I can contribute.

Erin, I had already thought about all the tomato stuff for Squidoo, hadn't thought about the alt site stuff. Actually I need to update that page to reflect some more current thinking about a couple of sites, if you know what I mean  diablo

Got to run, hubby is calling.

Carol.....the only reason the alternate site information 'popped' in my head is it is great stuff to share.  Of those of us who have test-driven a variety of sites, we have our experience and thoughts 'in our heads' and you've actually captured 'it' on your site.

So....I say 'go for it'!!!!  And - yes, I did 'get what you were talking about'!!   hysterical hysterical hysterical
