Well thanks so much Erin for showing me that, at least you saw the same thing I did in the main Google Search which has my store links at the top of the first page.  So we are seeing the same thing on Google Search.

ah Erin you searched in products for woman's instead of women's, that could have been it, I don't know, just glad I am not the only one seeing my listings on the top of the first page of the regular search.

Alana - I looked again and researched - I used women's vintage aprons for the first one and also for the retest - got the same!!  How strange that is!  I also tried the search without the s on aprons, and did not see your items/your place....

I can I need to learn a whole lot about this stuff, because I just am not getting seeing this and others aren't.  BRING ON THAT WORKSHOP JOE!!!!!

Ok I am a little fixed for time here at the moment (working on the bulk loader for IWAC when transferring csv files from Zen to the csv in the bulk loader) but let me start this here and later move to a new thread.

My original question was to do with exact titles when searched in google products search for Alana's store. Here is why I looked, see quote below:

Quote
I had one lady buy 16 aprons from me Monday, left me a comment in her checkout about being so happy to finally find a store online to buy these from.

Ok so I took that as great news and wondered how that lady found Alana's store. I took a few titles from the apron's in her store and ran them through google product search assuming that was where she found her store. I was wrong and I checked several assuming there was a problem. See screenshot below:

Womens Vintage Green Shear Half Apron - was the title searched in the example.

So I asked at that point in this thread, if you read back you will see. Now keep in mind that MOST BUYERS (Deb) have never even heard of google base or even know where it is to search it. What shows up in base is the upload which in turn is indexed to google products which is organic search results. If you don't know where google products is to search go to google.com click on the more and you will see it in the drop down box.

There is a solution to this of which I am testing now but please people relax a bit here and let me complete my investigation. If my theory proves to be correct (which i will talk about in the new thread) this will improve your organic search results just by adjusting to what google wants to see. Yes there is also something that will help you standout in google products search above and beyond this as well and I will also talk about that in the other thread.

Thanks Joe,

She found me in the main Google Search, I was on the first page.

I will be interested in learning more too.  I just thought there was something wrong with search in Google.

I don't know if most people search through Google Products, I never do, and my stats don't show that, but I have no clue how many do.  I know I sold 16 aprons and I know I was on the first page of regular Google Search.

I just wanted to get a reality check on this from others to make sure I wasn't the only one to see me in search.

I don't really know what the percentage is of people searching regular search verse product search.  It will be an interesting thread to learn from.

Thanks Joe, for pointing that Google Product info out.  I would not have otherwise noticed it.

I figured loading up both website products in Googlebase would just naturally show up in Products. This is really motivated me to search this further.  Well appreciated.

I did do some work on the Cherished sight this morning and I know I still have more to do, and learn on this subject.  One thing that did surprise me was when I put in Alana's Cherished Treasures in the main search there is now a link showing to Google Products and that link opens up to the exact number I loaded in GoogleBase.

Not saying that means a whole lot right now, but I never seen that before until this morning.  Lots more work to do.

Thanks Again.

Thanks Vinewood, back to the drawing board.  All I can say to vouch for myself on your search was Alana's Cherished Thoughts is my blog and I have a new apron article on there.

Thank-you Bays,

Your new site is really beautiful!!! Hope you got all that kinks worked out on it!

I am slowly moving forward on my sites. Finished the about me pages and the policies pages. One article is up, doing revisions on four others that will soon be up.  Then before the family comes for Thanksgiving, I hope to look at  new cart options for my third store.

Hope everyone has a great Turkey Day.

Hi Alana,

I have been adding new product to my new site www.baysbeautyskincare.com and it is looking pretty darn good.  I have had more help from my friend than what I have done myself so all the credit must go to her.  I'm still thinking about the colors we have set up for the site but for right now I think it looks really good.  And thanks for your kind words.

I love your sites and your blog.  I am really going to when I have time, redo my blogs.  I went to the site where you got your blog templates and they have some really nice ones there.  So that is on my list of things to do.

My new site is just awesome!  No shipping problems and everything that I have tested works really well so I'm so very pleased.  Having GoogleCheckout just doesn't work well when you have different shipping mods on the same site, especially the ones that I have.  But I was thinking one day because Joe had mentioned that it is best to have different products on their on site and that does make sense.  So finally, I think things are coming together for me.

The sad thing is that I need to go into my eBay Store and on my Home Page I need to let everyone know that after the first of the year I will be closing down my store and I will of course have my email there so that they can email me and then I will direct them to my About Us Page so that I can have my favorite link linking them to my new site.  I need to do that but it is really going to hurt when I do actually do that.  I know what I'm doing is right but it still hurts.  I think I have been on eBay over 4 years with both of my stores so I'm going to be upset when I have to let my customers know that I'm leaving.

Anyway, life is good until I get to my eBay Store  and I do know that I will get my customers back slowly but I'm prepared for that also.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend!

Now back to cleaning out the spare bedroom for Great Gramma!

By the way!!!  Who makes all of our smilies?  I so love them!!!!
