TJR Stores - REBORN!!

Hi All over the weekend and beyond  i have been working on revamping TJR Stores.

 The main domain tjrstores.com is linked to the forum.
Why?
Simply because it will be more content rich than the main site for search engines. There are links to the main site and of course the main site itself will have its own meta tags and SEO friendly links etc.

 I am using Zen Cart and must say a big thank you to both Deb and Joe for thier help and also sorry for being a pain in the ****.

  I have added a few items to each category with the exception to Digital Camcorders and MP4 players.

 I am still adding more items to each category.

In time though it will be full with loads of products and great deals.

Go take a look and tell me what you think...

Personally, I would leave off a forum and put the additional content in your EZ Pages area of the Zen Cart.  Then add a blog and connect it to your site.  That's what I did on my driftwood site and it was ranking high in the Google search results within two weeks.

I will look into a custom template after i got it all fully as i want it. 

 I have a few ideas for a template and will look into it, but if i get brain lazy i will give you a shout.

also everyone... I am in the middle of changing hosts so you will see the site there and then not.  I apologise now for that.

Also for Deb...

I was also in the middle of putting a lot of content into the site and am looking at meta tags also. And i can switch the forum and the site around at a later date if its not working how i planned.

Just an update guys.

I moved servers and hosts a few days ago and lost EVERYTHING!!!

Its not a bad thing as I was chatting to Deb and Joe and they gave me a few really good ideas.

So it worked out just great.

I decided to go with 2 websites. Both are TJR Stores, just one will be for watches and the other for electronics.

 I decided to go with Deb creating the templates for the 2 sites.
The watches template is up and running, although me and Deb are tweaking and I have a fair few more items to list.

 All in all there are 3 categories full with items and 3 more left to do.

 Then the work on the electronics site should start.

TJR Stores.com will be a landing page for the 2 sites. The url for each will be tjrstores.com/watches and /electronics respectively.

You can go and look at the watches site now and tell me what you think.

UPDATE:

 I have just created a landing page this morning for TJR Stores.com I just need to tweak it to be a little shorter so that the page is not so long.

 I think i wil be keeping this as it is as long as i can get the page the right size.

If anyone has any suggestions or can help please feel free to do so.

  I have a few things to add to both sites and all is done. Like watch sets and maybe some MP3 Players and memory cards (not sure about those yet. I am looking into them).

Hey Rob!

Looks good and I like the concept.  Only thing I am afraid people will miss the 'Watches' site if they don't scroll down....so you really need to fix that if possible.

You need to resize your background image.  It's got a set height of 900 px.  If you can reduce this to around 700px it should fit on the page just fine with no scroll bar for most displays.
