Joe where can I get the code for Martha's ribbon? I will put it on a side bar in my blog. I'm also planning on blogging about it today. And then go after some traffic like nobodies business!
Sue
Large Ribbon:
[*url=http://www.thetraderspost.com/product_desc.php?id=157][*img]http://thecrabbyhost.com/images/FHshsribbon.png[/img*][/url*]
Small Ribbon:
[*url=http://www.thetraderspost.com/product_desc.php?id=157][img]http://www.thetraderspost.com/thumbs1/4970899cancerA3.gif[/*img]
Just remove the
*
from the code on both ends.

Actually, I don't mean to be a pain, but would it be possible to have a ribbon coded that goes right to the SHS blog? I could probably do it but it would take me all day! The html code brain cells aren't all clicking together in my head yet.
No problem Sue!
Large Ribbon:

</a*>
Small Ribbon:
<*a href="

</a*>
Hope that helps!!

Queen Numpty has her one question of the day.....should I use the new ribbon (has it replaced the old one)? I guess that was 2 questions.....SAWWY!!!
Your choice.
When I named the new ribbon, I used the same file name as the old one, so it changed it everywhere.

Going to start dinner then blog!
Sue
Edit: I just noticed the code on page 7. I probably should have known that.
Would this be considered a numpty moment?

Martha, from one who went through the same experience, hold on in your head to anything that gives you support - nothing, but nothing is too crazy. This
will
pass and a time
will
come when you look back and say, that whole experience gave me a new perspective on life and made me a better human being.
When I was staring the reaper in the eyes, the only thing that kept me going was the sight of a clock at 08.55 which passed by me as I was wheeled into surgery - my 5yr old was just lining up to go into school, in her very first term. I held on to the belief that I would be there again, at that time, waving her off....
Keep resting and loving and hugging. We are here for you.

Martha, I gladly lend you what strength I have to spare.
Harold, I lend you what strength I can pull out of a hat after I've given to Martha.
You will both need any reserve you can draw from. Mine's here for the taking. Use it if required. I will be there. Because I care.
You are in my thoughts, my prayers and my heart. A difficult load is so much easier to bear when the weight is distributed and shared. Ask Newton.

Martha I hope you are getting much needed rest and that the pain is being managed.
Regarding depression, Martha it is very common to experience depression when given a diagnosis of cancer. You also need to factor in the stress to your body, and in certain tumors they excrete hormones, and other chemicals which can totally throw off your system including the brain's neurotransmitters which control our moods.
I wanted to post a link for you with some good info for you and Harold, it contains links as well. Maybe when you feel better you and Harold can join an online support group with others who are going through or have been through a similar experience.

My friends
Today has been the toughest yet. Martha wants me to stay right by her side, which is hard to do. She wants to take her pain medications more often than she should. I cannot let her do that which makes me feel bad. She has always been strong as to pain but this is getting to her. When she does sleep, she is dreaming about her Mom, Dad and sister all have passed away some time ago. She says she talks to them and feels she will be joining them soon. Her depression is something I have not had to deal with before. She does not think she is going to survive. Last night I had to wake her up to give her the medication at 3:00 I hated to do it but the Doctor said that is what I need too do so I do it. It is just after 1:00 now and I will have to do it again even though she has only been sleeping for a short while.
I have not been able to keep up with the postings but I know people are doing things to try helping us and we are thankful. Our daughter is coming by tomorrow so I can get some work done. Each of our children are doing everything they can for their mom.
The site is not healing as it should. There is a lot of drainage. The Doctor says it is draining more than usual but it should stop soon. I hope it does. I have to change her dressings every hour or so. I hope that I am not saying too much here but it is part of what we are dealing with. Sometimes it is as I am the patient and all of you are my therapists. Do not send any billings.
We have an appointment this coming Thursday the 24th at the Doctor’s office to get the staples out and see what the next step is. There is going to have to be a lot of improvement between now and then for that to happen. Once again thank you for allowing me to pour my heart out to you. Good night / morning

I posted this at SHS but felt I wanted to put it here as well;
"What can I say? I am overwhelmed. The kindness everyone is showing Martha and I is hard to comprehend. The Crabby Host Forum all of its members and now this SHS concept is truly the reason the internet exist. It is as if were connected to each other in a way that communities used to be some time ago. When I have, something that you need I give it to you. When I need something you have, you give it to me. Most of you are younger that I am and that gives me peace knowing that there is good coming behind me.
I say a lot about the character of Joe and Deb. I mean every word of everything I have said about them. They are the best of what people are and what people can be. Having never meet them in person I would not know them if they were standing beside me. I do however think they are standing beside us in spirit all the time.
The list of supporters shown above will forever have our appreciation and love. At some time, Martha and I will be able to put back what we are receiving to another person in his or her time of need."

Forget one day at a time. Take it one moment at a time and be thankful for it. Every moment is a step in the right direction and to have to heal is all part of the big picture. Staying strong and giving strenth to a loved one in time of need is one of the most draining and rewarding experiences ever.
Last year I thought I may never smile again. This year I think to myself.......wow we survived!
God Bless your in our thoughts and prayers and remember one moment at a time.

It looks great Erin!!! You did a fabulous job.
Have you posted a link to it here somewhere? I know I've been there before, but when I looked for the link today I couldn't find it. I finally found you by going to Carol's page and just changing the url ending.
Again...you did awesome!!
