Martha I am sending you a big  , healing light, a prayer, and a reminder that you are much stronger than you know. You have the will to get through this. Every second that goes by your body is fighting. Rest it, feed it when you can, and say to yourself " I can, and I will".

Harold, when you find yourself in the role of the caregiver to someone you love dearly, and you feel helpless, it takes a toll. Without mean spirit or thought often we project our "fears" onto the very person we are trying so hard to take care of.
Talking to someone, and venting is important for you. I am glad coming here is helping you both, and talking with Joe over the phone.

The greatest gift you give to Martha everyday is your love, your support, and your whole heart. She knows that deep down in her soul. Hold her hand when she hurts, wipe away her tears, and just know that there is light at the end of this journey.

If this is a sermon, just keep on preaching. It is these type of things that keep me going. Sometimes all she asks me to do is to hold her hand while she cries, I do that and I do wipe away her tears and other stuff. We both know there is light at the end of this journey. Just like you said. I know she will be alright. I know I talk a lot of smack but the thought of losing her would be more than I could handle. It may sound strange to say but she is my other half.

You watch in a few weeks she will be back on here just as full of crap as always. With the brownies, the dog house, the rants just like this never happened. This thread could make a movie. Great opening dialog from Joe as an opening. It is full of drama, laugher, sadness, uplifting conversations, sometimes more detail than needed, but mostly true human kindness. I cant Wait to see the closing scene. When the credits roll all of your names will be in capts and hearts.

You should be used to that!!! I've been laughing at you... er uh, I mean with you for almost two years!!!  

However... I agree, it was quite a good post... but I couldn't resist.  

Harold... make sure they spell my name right in the credits... There's only one Z in Platzki!!!

This hurts my heart...    I sure hope you're right about her bouncing back... I could go for one of her mean brownies!!!!!

All the love you and the kids give her will be the strength she needs. We are all here for both of you, and instead of thinking of endings focus on the blessings of new beginnings. What keeps me humble and grounded is when I am driving to work and the sun starts to peek over the mountain, I think wow no matter what I did yesterday good, bad, or neutral, I get a redo today, a second chance, a new beginning.

Here's to the sunrise Harold and Martha.

Hey.....I call 'new days' - do ovaries.....my boys used to giggle, now they think I'm a complete idiot!!!  I am all for the movie - Lifetime - Oh Yea!!!!!! 

In all seriousness, we ARE all here for ya and we DO all CARE!  I'm continuously amazed at the sharing, the caring and the 'love' - do ya feel the love?!!!
