Hey and this is no joke.  Years ago we pulled my nieces bike out of the garage and it was rusted.  It broke her her and she cried.  So I'm not sure how it started, but we used Coke to clean the rust of her bike.  If you put it on and let it sit for a few minutes, and then wipe it off it takes the rust off.  I've tried it on a few other things as well and it works.  You would never catch me drinking it.

OK - the read out on Dr. Pepper vs. Coke in your Roast - worked just fine!  The Roast had great flavor and was super tender as Kevin said - ***** (that's my 5 stars for the recommendation).

My hubbie and my oldest had 2nds (which is normal) - and both were thrilled with it all!

My 2nd born (who can be a pickie guy once in a while) - did not like the 'taters'.  Now - I dunno if this is because of the Dr. Pepper or the mood of the day - but doesn't matter....it did it's job!!

There was a sweet taste to the gravy, not overbearing!  And - I ate my fair share +++++, so I might need to get horizontal and nap ... or  watch some football!!!

  Kevin for a great idea!!

I told my sister-in-law about this coke-roast recipe and she wanted me to email it to her. But I'm going to just send her the link to the entire thread!

Everyone say Hi to Kim!!

Hiya Kim!!!!

OK - now for those who wonder what happens at my home with the left over roast, carrots, and taters, they remained cooking low all night long!

And this am, I pulled out all, diced them up and added a ton more veggies - for beef stew!  It's cooking on low, and will be put up tonight and served tomorrow.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch - we're having chili tonight!  I browned a lb. of gr. beef while I was chopping, and cooked it with green peppers, garlic, onions and A-1.  Drained 'this', and then put in 1 Can of Chili Beans, 1 Can of Kidney Beans, 1 Can Mild Rotel Tomatoes and  Chilies and 1 Can of Tomato Sauce.

Added a small amount of my beef roast, and some cherry tomatoes (quartered) + 2 pkgs. of fajita seasoning (vs. Chili Seasoning).  Added some cumin and black pepper - simmering 4 tonight.

Also made some Apple Cake for desert - with tonight's dinner - out in a bit to get corn bread!

What's for dinner @ your home?

Lasagna is one of my absolute favorites!!!  No matter how many different 'recipes' I try, it don't taste as good as my mom's did.

I believe all food tastes better when someone else cooks/prepares it - do you all agree?

Lasagna is on our menu this week for Wednesday.  That's the next night when we have a 'open night' - sort of - only wrestling practice for one kid vs. something for both !!!

Yummy......Wes and Kevin - I'd love a read out on what you throw together!  Monday night football in a couple hours - yippee, yahoo!!
